April Fools Tourney

Now here's an idea for a wacky tournament, I'd really like to see:

April Fool's Tourney

• 500 point max - 495 point min, 24 Hex
• Bring the worst possible army build you can imagine
• You'll give your worst army to your opponent each map
• You'll get your opponent's worst army in return
• No intentional builds that go over 24 hex
• Swiss-round

Benefits would be:

• We'd see who truly has skillz
• Lots of HS figs that never see the light of day
• Very family friendly
• Lots of playtime with all sorts of figs you'd never touch
• Wacky wacky wacky

Throw in the Hive for total worthnessless without marros, Taro with no support, grunts and blastatrons with nothing to boost them. Chardis with no wizards.

I stayed away from Kato because he has 4 at and 4 def. This teams has low attack and low defense. Marcu has the highest attack but low defense and can turn on you. I almost put Parmenio in there but he would help out Taro.

I've heard of a tournament like this - it's called "Worst Army". Before each game, you switch armies with your opponent. So, although you aren't using the same army for 5 games, you do know what army you are facing each game.

As for armies, something like this would be fun:

It's a 500 point army, where you forgot to bring the other 490 points. I find it hard to lost against something like this!

I think you should make a point minimum as well, like must be at least 495 or 490 (thinking of valiant mass), that way some one couldn't bring an army that's 490pt. under and is only Otonashi. . Otherwise, it's a great idea.

with one exception, ye brought worst army ye could think of
than yer opponent played it.

as I remember i had morsbane and AE in my build and went 2-2 that tourney, with those 2 games the AE never dropping.

Okay ... 495 minimum ... cause with 490 you can always add a 10pt-er.

This army focuses on throwing as much low point crap out there as possible. Because it is so low-quality, it dies easily, which will result in loads of order markers wasted due to either dead or even less effective units. Plus, every single one of these units (except Isamu) needs some major support to be good. Some of them are terrible even with support! (see: Otonashi, Dund, Hatamoto)
