I've been playing and enjoying Shortcuts lately. Great map to try out everything but the unwieldy figs (you can hardly place Nilfheim anywhere). I've had a great time with the melee and ranged units battling across the map for the glyphs and the five elevated areas. I remove the outer glyphs and just leave the ones adjacent to the bridge.

thx guys, for your feedback! Nice to hear that you had fun playing on these maps
brianmcdonald: uups, iīve uploaded the german version, didnīt noticed that... sadly itīs not possible to update your files in the download area :-/ For River of Lost Souls there are no special scenario rules. In the text i just descripted which glyphs could be placed. Astrid and Gerda on the outer spaces, Kelda and Erland in the middle. Today i wouldnīt place Erland on this map anymore, that glyphs can break the game too easly imo. Quote:

These are some great maps for people who don't want to spend to much money on Heroscape.
You're 2 ms maps are superb too. Money. No good unspent. |

I've only posted in the maps forums once before, so this is a rare event. I just wanted to mention how much I appreciate you're making asymmetrical maps. You are hands-down the most talented map maker in the whole community, and the only person whose symmetrical maps I'd even bother to print with any sort of consistency. Please continue to make asymmetrical maps, and consider joining the design team at Hasbro should a job opening appear, because this site is an excellent portfolio for you. Moreover, your efforts to write actual scenarios are not unappreciated.

Ch1can0, I really like your style of building maps. You build them with lots of unique mechanics, unique layouts, and aren't afraid to unleash a whole mess of glyphs on a board. Also, you're not just building them in hopes that people will use them in tournaments and vote them into the BoV; you appear to just be sharing some maps that are fun to play on. Paradoxically, this is why I would like to humbly ask you to make some maps that would fit the BoV/tournament parameters (Rĸchean alluded to something like this in the BoV discussion recently http://heroscapers.com/community/sho...128&start=1320 ) Keep the great stuff coming, they're a great gift to the HSers community!

Hi Nadom,
thanks for your kind words! I want to try to scale down some of my 2ms maps so they match the BoV Criteria. I tried it with my map "Rampart" here is the 2ms version, and this a scale down matching the bov criteria: Itīs kind of difficult to scale down from 2ms to 1ms, i think i better modifiy some of my 1ms maps like Road Rampage... or build a new one. |

Could you by any chance post the one Masterset version of Rampart. It does look like BoV Material, and on the 2 MS version I had some great games.
