I have to agree CHOMP will take care of all of the little common squads then Grimnaks normal attack. If you used the Orc champion bonding you then get attacks from your normal orc warriors. If you get good rolls of the die and your opponent gets bad rolls, You could eliminate 6 figures in a turn. ORCS! ORCS! ORCS! ORCS!

Heavy gruts with height, and next to Grimnak are awesome, they dominate every time I use them.

I know!!! The Orcs could definetely hold their own against a Marro Army. But the only real thing stopping the blue wave is Tor-Kul-Na He could get the gruts. So make Grimnak take on Tor-kul-na and have the gruts still adjacent but away from tor-kul-na so you could still attack. They are AMAZING! ORCS! ORCS!

Put in the Blade Gruts, to also help Griimnak, and throw in the Arrow gruts (I know they don't support Grimnak but they look cool!)

I'm going to have to go with the marro because of all the killer units they have at their disposal; MBS, Stompy, Wo-Sa-Ga, etc. Add to that the stingers and marro warriors and you have yourself a heavy hitting strike force.

However, the orcs do get my vote for awesomness despite their marginal power deficit vs the marro.

I'll be the black sheep here and say marro.

The marro have so much more the choose from. Unlike the orcs, the commons can be rebirth via the hive and the warriors by themselves. Then the hivelords can heal themselves with the nagrubs which keeps them around longer. Along with that NGS and KMS can potentialy take over your grimnak and use him to chomp the blades on top of having the Groks back them up and WSG can just crush anything in her way

If you're talking about financial decisions, TKN, Nagrubs x2, Stingers x2 (400 pts), is a SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper investment than finding enough sets of Gruts Orcs from Wave 1. Now, if you're just building a Grimnak/Heavies Army, then that's not so bad, because those are readily available, but you can't get all the champions that you want in your army as easily as you can the Marro.
