The Best 1000 point army (General Themed)
Ok, i know it is huge, but when we play, we play. The game has to be big enough to make bragging rights last at least 15 days. So, that being said, what is the best 1000 point army using only one general.
 We are talking about 48 hex starting spaces, but don't let that limit your imagination. Anytime we need more, we just put some 7 hexs on the back of our starting spots.I have two good 1000 point armies, orcs, and elves and vipers. However, I have heard glady-blasty strategies rock this way. I'll will put them up once I have perfected them. It all depends on how many starting spaces we are talking about, but I'm a big fan of Jandar, so here's my Jandar-based army:
Raelin RotV - 80 Knights of Weston x3 - 230 Sentinels of Jandar x2 - 450 4th Massachusetts x2 - 590 Sir Gilbert - 700 Sir Denrick - 800 Alastair MacDirk - 910 Thorgrim - 990 Pretty decent... lot's of choices of Human Champions to choose from. Not much range though other than 4th Massachusetts. Here's another one I like: Raelin RotV - 80 Niflheim - 265 Knights of Weston x4 - 465 4th Massachusetts x3 - 675 Sir Gilbert - 785 Sir Denrick - 885 Alastair MacDirk - 995 Provides a bit more range. Not sure how many units you have, but both of these armies seem pretty strong.

I like Jandar, but whenever I play a big game, I just have to play Ornak.
Krug 120 3x Arrow Gruts 240 4x Swog Rider 340 Mimring 490 3x Heavy Gruts 700 Grimnak 820 Ornak 920 Nerak 970 Marcu 990 Isamu 1000 This one (or perhaps adjusting a few things or removing the Arrow Gruts to squeeze in a DW or Cyprien) is one of my favorite armies to play. Ornak really helps a crazy army like this remain cohesive. Quote:

Some awesome Jandar and Utgar armies above. I have to say that I think FOUR is about the upper limit for the number of commons of any given army I would allow in a friendly game. The 5xBlast/5xGlad army above is just plain mean
 I've always had a special place in my heart for Ullar.
