Re: 500 Point Competitive Armies
I just recently had a flash of genius.
Here's an enhanced Minions army (without Taelord!) Finn 80 Minions x2 300 Krav 400 Carr 500 or... Finn 80 Minions x2 300 Q10 450 Marro Warriors 500 You like? ~Syrn GO DK, GO! |

040 - Theracus 080 - Finn 220 - Minions x2 100 - Krav Maga 060 - Zetacron (or Marro Warriors + Isamu) either one works well Theracus carries Finn into battle and positions him for his aura, but you can lead out with the Minions first because Theracus' flying can help Finn to catch up quickly, potentially boosting the Minions attack with his aura. Once Finn dies you have 2 choices for his spirit depending on the situation, Krav Maga or Zetacron (or Marro Warriors if you opted for that build). All of which are very effective candidates with range and multiple attacks, or hero killing capability such as the case with Zetacron's deadly shot. ---- Let's all be honest here ---- ---- This is what you thought of when you saw my name wasn't it? |

Re: 500 Point Competitive Armies
2x Minions - 220
Cyprian - 150 Sonya - 45 Marro Warriors - 50 Guilty - 30 The beautiful thing about minions is that they really don't need an enhancement and this army makes up for what they lack: speed and range. Cyprian and Marros fix these problems nicely I think. My Map Thread My Battle Blog and Strategy Blog and Article Links. OVAH site. Sept. 19, 2010 - ITS A BOY |

Re: 500 Point Competitive Armies
I could see this being fun, but you might not win a tourney with it:
Krug - 120 Kaemon - 120 Raelin - 80 2x Arrow Gruts - 80 4x Swog If you used Arrows and Krug until Krug was dead then switch between Arrows and Kaemon (protecting Kaemon for cleanup) I could see this being a lot of fun to play. Re: 500 Point Competitive Armies
I just got a bunch of new people to play so instead of them picking random army cards that aren't compatible I came up with a list of 500 point armies that work fairly well together, with out any repeats of figures. Here is my list. Oh yeah and for some reason I also named all of the armies.

Re: 500 Point Competitive Armies
I saw you were all talking minion armies. Here's one as 500 and 550 ppoints.
Minions x2-220 Charos-210 Marro Warriors-50 TOTAL: 480 Minions x2-220 Charos-210 Marro Warriors-50 Me-Burq-Sa-50 TOTAL: 530 Please note that I do not have any figs worth less than 25 points (swog), so I didn't add anything else. I had tried Sonlen and Runa first for the 550 (instead of Charos) but it wasn't good. I haven't tried it with Sa yet. Oh, and I haven't looked at all your armies yet, m_s, but I like 1, 2, 4, and 5; all intriguing. The last few look like you may have used leftovers. For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, ...authorities, ...the world powers of this darkness, ...the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. Ephesians 6:12. |

Re: 500 Point Competitive Armies
500 point game spent 490. I won. Map was out of Swarm. The one with the runes on one side water then and the long hill down the middle…
Arkmer – 50 Tarn Viking Warriors – 50 - 100 Izumi Samurai – 60 - 160 Emirroon – 80 - 240 Jorhdawn – 100 – 340 Ulginesh – 150 – 490 My opponent had – Spiderman Deathwalker 8000 The paratrooper guys Agent Carr My plan was to move the Elves behind the runes as fast as possible. If I needed to slow anything down use the Vikings. And Throw the Samurai’s at the most dangers fig. It was crazy I was able to get all the Elves behind the runes turn 1. Next turn I had Jorhdawn setup between the 2 rune walls with 3 adjacent elves. Arkmer as a buffer between the 2 forces. I wanted the Samurai’s to take down Deathwalker but I was never able to use counterstrike because he kept using the special attack and his def was 8 die!!! Agent Carr was swarmed by both squads. Deathwalker eventually picked off all the squad guys. Before he went down to a fireball. The paratroopers were taken out by a couple Vikings and Ulginesh. Spiderman was the last one standing and was taken out by Arkmer and Ulginesh. I did not lose any Elves. I really liked how the Elves feed on each other. Their die on attack and defense were a little low. But what helped was the Samurai’s 5 die def kept my opponent busy. A couple questions – 1. What changes do you all recommend for my Elves? 2. Did I cheat – I use Ulginesh option to move Arkmer then Emirroon. Then after moving Emirroon because of Ulginesh option I would roll for Emirroons power to move the other Elves. Can I combo that Ulginesh to Emirroon then use Emirroon power to move other Elves? Blah blah, blah blah blah. Blah blah "blah", blah blah. Blah- blah, blah, blah. Blah blah blah blah. |
