NAME OF THE PLAYTEST UNIT: Harvey one-face

Units: Harvey Bullock (90), Jonah Hex, Commissioner Gordon, Beat Cops x2 (440) VS Killer Croc, Clayface (440)

Spoiler Alert!

Croc leads out, and Gordon moves up his cops in a pod. Harvey uses his loose cannon to get an extra wound on Killer Croc. Croc kills a few cops and puts a couple wounds on Bullock before Jonah Hex takes him down. Harvey uses loose cannon to get an extra wound on Clayface. Clayface takes out Jonah Hex. Harvey takes out Clayface. The range of the Lawmen helped them get the edge on the Criminals, and the Criminals struggled taking out the Beat Cops with only a single attack.


Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Gordon (0 wounds), Harvey (2 wounds), 2 Beat cops win.

Hush and Jonah Hex choose each other.

Gordon leads his cops up. Scarecrow throws down some fear gas, which stops Harvey in his tracks. Batman moves up, seeing the Bat-Signal, and Gordon shoots a few wounds onto Firefly. Scarecrow gasses the cops again. Gordon proves useful in getting his allies out of the fear gas, then Harvey takes the opportunity to kill Firefly. Scarecrow heavily wounds Jonah Hex. Harvey takes out Scarecrow. Joker takes out Harvey. Batman takes out Joker.

Hush then fights the remaining Lawmen. Hush kills Jonah Hex and a few beat cops. Batman gets an Evasive Strike roll for the win.


Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Batman (3 wounds), Gordon (2 wounds), 1 Beat Cop win.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Two wins here, and this army felt like a solid combo of powers. But Bullock dies easily enough, and he felt fairly balanced for a 90 point figure. Loose Cannon isn’t something that happens all the time - when you’re not facing Criminals you have to make more of an effort to get it working.

Yeah, not much synergy in those enemy armies, so not surprised to see cops having the edge. Thanks for the tests!

Notes:
Jonah Hex's Bounty is Moon Knight. Gordon's chosen Vigilante is Daredevil. Ham puts 3 wounds on Jonah. Cage kills Jonah. Daredevil puts 3 wounds on Ham. Ham and Cage then kill Bullock. Daredevil kills Cage, then would kill Ham but Ham hits his Spider-Nonsense roll. Daredevil then kills Ham the following turn. Gordon places Daredevil. Daredevil and Moon Knight trade wounds. Moon Knight breaks off and starts using his CD on Daredevil and Gordon. Daredevil kills Moon Knight.


Daredevil with 3/4 wounds(1 life). Gordon with 1/3 wounds(2 life).

Pretty even back and forth. Bullock managed to catch Cage with a botch, putting 2 wounds on him, so that led to the potential difference maker in the end overall.

Star-Lord wounds Bullock. Nebula kills Jonah. Star-Lord wounds Daredevil, then Nebula kills Bullock. Daredevil puts 2 wounds on Nebula. Nebula heals. Star-Lord puts 2 wounds on Gordon. Nebula puts 2 wounds on Daredevil. Star-Lord kills Gordon. Nebula kills Daredevil.


Nebula with 4/6 wounds(2 life). Star-Lord unwounded.

The Lawmen just sorta fell apart here. Hex got overwhelmed early, and then did Bullock. Daredevil tried his best, but it wasn't enough. Not the best rolls on their side either.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY:
You sorta need him to survive in order to keep the Criminal stuff going, and you need a fellow Lawmen engaged to get his Loose Cannon to trigger. So he can be a little tricky in terms of how to best use him. I'm sure some Beat Cops help, but I figured that's been covered pretty well. He can certainly put out some moderate firepower in the right circumstances, but he can also get taken out quite easily. Feels fine at 80-90 to me.

All testers felt comfortable with him at 90, so I won't go over that, but I'll keep him there for sure, especially knowing there'll be more synergy coming for the Lawmen. (Unless someone prefers we bump him to 100?).
