C3G Public Design Nominations - TIEBREAKER

Pulling me and Arkham out of the pool has reduced the number of designs in the polls, but that's not entirely a bad thing. Good opportunity for a first-time designer to break in.

I don't think it's a lack of quality designs or designers. I just think it's a lack of knowledge around who is eligible and willing and also consistent updates in their links to see all the designs available .

I'm in agreement with Xael here.knowing for sure who's active and willing to LD right now would definitely get a lot more designs in that the 4 that have consistently been getting nominated

Yeah, it would be good to have a clear indicator of that in the Public Design Post, certainly.

It is certainly a good opportunity to take advantage of.

Could someone please tag all of the Allies, and we can maybe have a roll call?

It makes more sense to me to just tag/PM an Ally if you want to nominate one of their designs. Trying to maintain a list of who currently has the free time to LD, and is interested in doing so, would be a lot of work and there really wouldn't be any way to guarantee that it'd be up to date. You'd end up having to ask people on an individual basis anyway.

Or being a little more proactive...if you see nominations coming up and you have designs you'd like considered you should post..."hey, I'm available"

For one it lets us know you are around and paying attention. Promote yourself and your work.

We've done list of active Allies before, and it becomes inaccurate within a week or two. If there's a design you're interested in, best to tag or PM the LD.

I hope I don't sound like a psycho, but I PMed every Ally on the list in the Public Design thread who isn't LDing anything in already, or has been active in within a couple months about this topic, so hopefully somebody will chime in. Or I might have scared everyone away from C3G forever.

I doubt anyone's going to be too upset about it, but I'm not sure you'll get a ton of bites, either. It just seems unlikely to me that there are a bunch of people who are interested in LDing, but not spending much time on the site.

Of course, if you want more people in the game, you could always build up the points to run an LD yourself!
