Rainbow 'Scape

One of the best things about Heroscape is the Rainbow of units which meet on the battlefield to do battle. There's something about a robot teaming up with a Samurai teaming up with a Viper that really captures the imagination.

There's something magical about units like the Venoc Warlord, who synergize with a plethora of units from all species and planets. I wish there were more units like that. So I've created alternate versions of a few cards to brainstorm ways to make units like the Roman Legionnaires that bond with Marro and Venoc alike.

Here are a few ideas, none of which have been playtested:



So the Sacred Band can bond with the following units:

Disciplined Human Heroes:
Hatamato Taro, Isamu, James Murphy, Kamon Awa, Kato Katsuro, Marcus Decimus Gallus, Master Win Chiu Woo, Parmenio, Tandros Kreel

And having Parmenio in your army opens up a whole other plethora of units, giving Parmenio quite a boost as well.

Human Heroes:
Agent Carr, Agent Skahen, Alastair MacDirk, Ana Karithon, Brave Arrow, Crixus, Deadeye Dan, Finn, Thorgrim, Evar Scarcarver, Guilty McCreech, Johnny "Shotgun" Sullivan, Kumiko, Mika Connour, Otonashi, Retarius, Samuel Brown, Sgt. Drake Alexander, Shiori, Sir Denrick, Sir Dupuis, Sir Gilbert, Sir Hawthorne, Spartacus, Eldgrim, Valguard

Now the Sacred Band have an even more colorful cast to select from than the Roman Legionnaires.



Ullar Heroes:
Acolahr, Arkmer, Atlaga, Brandis, Chardris, Charos, Deadeye Dan, Emirroon, Jorhdawn, Jotun, Kyntela Gwyn, Morsbane, Saylind, Sharwin Wildborne, Sonlen, Syvarris, Theracus, Ulginesh, Venoc Warlord

More than a few units are brought into playability, many across species lines. The Armocs are a hell of a lot more playable like this, and units like Sonlen and Syvarris deserve a boost in playability.



Now you can pod up your Mohican River Tribes around Brave Arrow, or even Zetacron. Marcus Decimus Gallus's potential to pod up with the 10th is the inspiration for this one. The more synergy, the better.

Again, none of these are playtested, but I wanted to show the potential to twist old units to incorporate the Rainbow nature of Heroscape into every battle.

Why the list of non-Disciplined Heroes?

Parmenio can change them to Disciplined with 'Disciplined Influence'. He is saying if you do these Sacred Band and add in Parmenio, you can open up those figures to bonding as well.
