I would think you would place the figure on the turbo lift on the ladder rung previously occupied by the turbo lift before it was destroyed.

Edit: I just checked the Turbo Lift card and that's exactly what it says.

Actually it says "when it is destroyed", & MEL is going to be removing it without it being destroyed.

BUT; the Matter Eater power says "... Place any figure that was on the top of the glyph or destructible object on the corresponding space previously occupied by the glyph or destructible object.", & the space occupied by the Turbo Lift is deemed to be the ladder rung as they are classified as spaces in the HS rules.

Instead of attacking, you may remove a glyph or a destructible object that is either adjacent to or occupies the same space as Matter-Eater Lad. Place any figure that was on the top of the glyph or destructible object on the corresponding space previously occupied by the glyph or destructible object. If the destructible object was a vehicle, place all figures that occupied the destroyed vehicle on spaces previously occupied by the destroyed vehicle.

One thing that seems kind of wonky a bit is that removing a vehicle DO with Matter Eater causes it to be destroyed and thus the wording added from the vehicle DO rules. I guess what I'm wondering is does it seem weird to anyone else that the vehicle DO's get treated as being destroyed when eaten (to fit the wording in the vehicle rules) while the Evergreen Tree, Toxic Waste Barrels and Ruined Battlements don't get treated as being destroyed when eaten?

I totally understand intent for sure, but wondering if the readers/players will be confused.

Would changing the wording in the vehicle DO rules help

If a vehicle is removed from the battlefield by a special power or if a vehicle receives enough wounds to be destroyed, after removing it from
the battlefield, place all figures that occupied the destroyed vehicle on spaces
previously occupied by the destroyed vehicle.

Then would you be able to say this?

Totally agree, I should have made the change when I incorporated it into the power. "Removed" is the key word & I don't think we need to change the VDO rules at all.

Cool. As niche as he is, I think that's a great place for him to end up.

Yeah, we should just bypass the rest of testing and just go straight to final editing and on deck at 60 points

He likely won't do good vs. squads and in an army test it will be tough to put an OM on him, so he'll need to work with Cosmic Kid to get moved around maybe or with Zemo. He could also maybe hang with Angel. Can't be Basket Carried by GL John, but could get moved by Marian Manhunter.

Sure it will be neat to have him eat an 18-Wheeler while someone is on it, or eat a ruined battlement before it gets destroyed and causing wounds etc. But getting him there to do that will be the tough part.

Perhaps he can take the first turn in a game to get forward just in case and since he can fly that will help. Opponents might not want to waste attacks on him if there are some other threats available.

I would really find it hard to see him end up higher than 60 points. Shadow Thief is niche, but at least it's a lot easier to get him to do his thing and he's at 70 points with same attack 1 less life and 1 more defense.
