Re: Concerts you have attended

I will say that I have been to a concert or 2 that left me feeling like I could have stayed home and put on a cd and shine a flashlight at a poster of the band...*cough cough* RUSH *cough*

I love quiet concerts. But I'm talking about the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra.

VGL was really loud, but it was fun, anyway. I just had a headache.

I forgot! I went to this one Christian rock concert, that some friends had tickets to. I don't remember who they were, but I hated it.

Yea, I actually don't really do concerts anymore unless it's a small venue. The outdoor 3 day concerts are too much for me now.

You hate the friends you don't remember who took you to a concert? I would think if they were your friends you would remember. Doesn't make you much of a friend now does it?

You can't compare the two. Live converts have a whole different feel. When they start up a song and everyone recognizes the song and start to hum the melody or sing the lyrics........there is an energy that you sense in the air. It's an awesome feeling. It's like going to a live sports event. Yea, you can get a sense of pride when you watch your team score some baskets, but when you're there, in the stadium you can feel the energy. I love it.
I also like watching sporting events at home (well, the ones I enjoy normally, at least) more than at stadiums. But that's just me. I'm weird.

Right...like remember the time you went to see "Toonami on Ice" and how excited you were about it. You even still have that colored light thing on a string that spins around.

Re: Concerts you have attended

Alright, a cool mix of sounds so far. Lots of metal and classic rock, which works for me. Bigjim and I saw KISS about 3 years ago. I was deaf for a good day and a half.

Gary.... much 80's love to you. Onacara, I would have killed to see the Smithereens (heck, half the bands you saw). My biggest regret... I flaked on a buddy who had tickets to see New Order, Echo and the Bunnymen and Gene Loves Jezebel in one concert because I wanted to be with my then gf. Moron.

Good trades: Oogie Da Bruce, EyeOfSauron, Lilnewbie, rodriguez, Jaz1597(x2), GeneralRolando, SlikkRikk, BIGJIM, Lord Pyre
