Re: The Book of Goro (Breathing)
I'm also open to a special attack. No issue going down that road.

NAME = GORO SPECIES = SHOKAN UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = PRINCE PERSONALITY = ??? SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5/6 LIFE = 6 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 3 ATTACK = 6 DEFENSE = 5 POINTS = ~265 SHOKAN PUMMEL SPECIAL ATTACK Range 1, Attack 4 If Goro inflicts one or more wounds with this attack on an adjacent figure, he may attack the same figure again. Goro cannot attack more than four times in a single turn. Adjacent figures without the Super Strength special power roll 1 fewer defense die against Goro’s normal attack and may not move. SUPER THROW 8 After attacking, you may choose an adjacent figure that is not huge. Roll the 20-sided die, subtracting 4 from the roll if the chosen figure has the Super Strength special power. If you roll 8 or higher, throw the figure by placing it on any empty space within 4 spaces of Goro. After the figure is placed, roll one unblockable attack die for throwing damage. If the figure is thrown onto a level higher than the height of Goro or onto water, do not roll for throwing damage. The thrown figure will not take any leaving engagement attacks. LEAPING STOMP 12 Instead of moving and attacking normally, Goro may use Leaping Stomp. Leaping Stomp has a move of 3. When counting spaces for Leaping Stomp, ignore elevations. Goro may leap over water without stopping, leap over figures without becoming engaged, and leap over obstacles such as ruins. Goro may not leap more than 12 levels up or down in a single leap, and Goro will take any leaving engagement attacks. After placing Goro, you may choose an adjacent figure. Roll one unblockable attack die against the chosen figure. You may continue rolling until you do not roll a skull. SUPERSTRENGTH |

Re: The Book of Goro (Breathing)
Not digging the 4 attack there as I've stated. I also don't think his normal attack should be 6, due to having a range of 3. And while the throw is neat, it's not a trademark of his, and it is absolutely too much text for the card. I like the 2 power I'm gonna pound your face in, repeatedly stomp on you, or blow a fire ball at you approach.

Re: The Book of Goro (Breathing)
Warrior gives him Justice League synergies - would Enforcer fit as a better class for the sake of future synergies?
Card looks great other than that though! (Though I'm still kind of wondering if we can fit a throw on there.) |

Re: The Book of Goro (Breathing)
I personally liked Prince because I think it's kind of funny to see this weird hulking brute as some sort of royalty - if we're trying to make his Class more "common" though, we should see where he'd be redundant with other Star-Lord build units. Warrior makes sense with Drax filling a similar role, I don't know if we have any other common "multi-attack" classes.

Re: The Book of Goro (Breathing)
The reason I suggested Enforcer was in case we wanted to give some Enforcer synergy for some of the 'fighting game baddies' at some point - I know there's been talk of having Enforcer synergy being given out by Shao Kahn and/or M. Bison.

I updated the SP.
Just so we're all clear how the power works, I want it to only require the wound to be caused on the first attack, to enable the remaining attacks. Each attack doesn't require a wound to continue. I figure Swordplay requires at least 1 skull to continue each attack, whereas the trade off here is it's not a guaranteed to start, but if you break through on attack 1, you get the subsequent attacks. If everyone is clear on that, I propose a vote to move to Initial Testing. @dok @Soundwarp SG-1 @Dysole Last edited by Arkham; January 28th, 2019 at 12:06 PM. |

Hit Me With Your Best Shot
I'm not completely sure the wording gets that effect. That said, there's nothing this guy can't do that can already be done worse by someone else. He's severely mitigated by adjacency and same figure stuff. Makes it real hard to pull off any shenanigans.
