When designing a unit the process is the following am I right?
Also, when do you get the ERB's opinions?

Re: C3G Question Dump / Advice Column: Ask your questions he
Yeah, that's how it goes LE IV
LD puts up a design in proper book form for the OP and the second post they list the info that will go on the card, stats, powers etc. Others chime in on the design but the LD has to wait for 24 hours to pass before changing anything of the design in the second post. After the consensus is that it's time to move on to initial playtest because the design is looking good, then it's a good time to send it to ERB. It could also be sent while the initial playtest is being done. Preferably you want the ERB input received before sending it out for public playtest so if there are some minor changes to be made, it's better to do it before/during/after the initial test is done, but before public sent the test info. After the initial playtest is done, the LD has to wait 24 hours before proposing it for public playtest. This give others a chance to review it and comment or whatever. After getting the public playtests back, the results are looked over and discussed. If things seem in line with the initial test and not all over the place as far as results, then it can be proposed for final editing. Then you have to wait for it to go through that before proposing it for release. If it's a complicated design or there are some major issues with the public tests, then it might need to be sent back out for more testing. But basically you have the gist of the process. Looks right LEIV. The ERB typically comes in between steps 1 and 2. There is not official ERB for public designs because it's open to anyone and everyone all the time.

True enough GP. Public designs kind of go through ERB from the get go because everyone gets to chime in and make suggestions or see potential issues/flaws along the way.

I tend to send out a PM to the ERB when a loose consensus is reached, though, before the Initial Playtest, two or three days in. Just as a notice that the thread is there if they'd like to share their two cents.

Oooh, one away from 4,000 posts, LEIV! Use it wisely.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Question Dump / Advice Column: Ask your questions he
I have a question. A situation came up the other day, My friends and I were playing on the map, Alkai Lake.
A non flying, non super strength, melee hero hero was up on the bridge, Think Wolverine as an example. The opponent had thrown a battlement on both sides of him. Is he (Wolverine) now stuck? Is his only option to jump off the bridge or destroy the now Ruined Battlement? I thought about it awhile, looked through the FAQ's and optional DO rulebook and such and must have missed this answer. At the time (middle of game) I ruled you could use your movement to just move over the ruined battlement. So a move of 2 to get on top of it, 3 for up and over it. Pandora's Box was now open. Now we play you can start next to a Battlement. Throw said Battlement adj to opponents fig. then move over and on top of the now Ruined Battlement (if it survived the throw) and attack opponents fig. with that height. Same with the Manhole Cover and Turbo Lift. However we also play you can not throw a DO your standing on, But your opponent can attack that DO. (If their able, L-O-S, they have a SA that can target D0's, or attack it normally, etc. etc.) Then the Car rolled in. Originally we played it the same way except it was a move of 3 to get on top of car. and if it drove off, with your figure on top of it. That figure took a un-blockable falling damage of 1 die, unless they had SS. Now I understand this is totally wrong, and we now play that cars aren't able to be climbed on top of at all. But what about Ruined Battlements, Turbo Lifts, Manhole Covers, the new Toxic Waste Barrel? Can you climb on them? and if so what is the cost for that movement? Can they be thrown if your standing on them? Can they be attacked if your standing on them? I/we really enjoy the DO optional rules and all the other C3G optional rules, and want to use them as they are intended to be. I appreciate any help with this question, and figured this would a good place to ask this question, as it involves different DO's and throwing DO rules both. C3G team building links. Re: C3G Question Dump / Advice Column: Ask your questions he
Each DO has a height, so yes you can use your move to climb over them. Figures have always been able to stand on Ruined Battlements, Manhole Covers, and Turbo Lifts to gain height advantage. You can also choose to throw one of those DOs you're standing on (usually better to do it after you attack ).

Also, if the Ruined Battlement is read carefully, figures can clearly occupy them. Quote:
