Team 2 - Skalmad(120), Death Knights of Valkrill(60), Feral Troll(90), Krug(120) and Ice Troll Berserker(85)

Map: Home of the Drow and no Glyphs

Provide a brief summary of the game: The game lasted 5 rounds and this army lost. Dread Skull Scorpion powers activated multiple times.
This custom unit was short lived.

How useful were playtesting units' powers and how often did they come into play: (Analyze how you feel about the unit. Do you think they're worth their points? More? Less?

Some comments:

For armies, it's really helpful to be as clear as possible with who is in what army vs the other. Here, I'm going to quote a C3G playtest I did for the unit Squirrel Girl;

How many wounds did this figure inflict, how many attacks did it take for it to fall, stuff like that.

It sounds to me like Skalmad's army won by a very wide margin. Maybe he is priced a bit low?

THIS is a spreadsheet program a guy made to get a general idea of where customs should be priced. It's not a replacement for playtesting, but it can help you get a good idea of where your characters should be at.

That looks like a real step up!

How do you feel about both of them, cost-wise? Are they both good where they are right now or do their points need to be raised or lowered? It looks like Skalmad's team won by a very large margin. Was that because he was really good? If so, you may want to bring his point cost up. That makes sense anyways, he's the King so he should be expensive.

- Rending Swipe Special Attack is good if you deal only 1 wound
- The Rending Swipe Special Attack is always 4 attack and gets no enhancements
- Troll Hide is good to block 1 skull always

So team 1 ended the game with no units destroyed, and only 1 unit with 1 wound marker on it? You’re not altering the results of these test in any ways, right? Stuff like re-rolling dice to get the result you want?

So this almost definitely shows that he's overpowered. He killed nearly the entire opposing army and only took one wound? Ouch.

This version of Razor Blood-Edge likely wouldn't do near the damage as the other one with Troll Skin. Having it modified down to not have the auto shield will definitely help. Also, putting this guy against squadscape would definitely have a different outcome. I'm not a fan of the Name. Also, the 2 attack for normal attack doesn't make much sense. I'd bump it to 4 like the special. As he is only every going to be slicing and dicing. The point value may still be a touch high. I'm thinking he'd be more at home at about 120 pts in his current condition.

I'm also confused. If Drake had 5 wounds on him and there was still an unwounded Tor-Kul-Na and Werewolf Lord, it seems highly unlikely to me that he would win the game.
