Cool army but it might run into trouble with order markers, and it might make it kinda' easy to kill Sonya or James if most your order markers are on others. Still looks really good, just thinking of ways to make it better.

I have used this before with some decent success. Murphy is used mid to late.

Try this for some disciplined fun:
James Murphy 75
10th Regiment of Foot x3 300
Sacred Band x2 400
Marcus Decimus Gallus 500
The sacred band will be able to move forward with an attack and movement bonus, while 2 squads of the 10th will flank left/right, and 1 squad of the 10th and James Murphy will flank opposite.

I've recently hit a lawman rennaisance and I've been having some luck with this army--thought I'd share

Gunslingers and Slow Muties:

Deadeye - 60
Murphy - 75
Sullivan - 65
Zombiesx5 - 300

This started off as a theme army based, of course, on King's gunslinger series (and if nothing else offers plenty of chances to quote your favorite passages). But, the almost total discordance between the two arms of this force strikes a balance. One order marker for each lawman creating a three-point flank out of the gate and then replacing those orders for zombies as each lawman is inevitably taken off the board. When the shotgun smoke clears, your opponent will be knee deep in zombies without much of a prayer. I speak truth goodly sai.

Another turn might be a disciplined themed army:

Sacred Bandx2 - 100
Parmenio - 90
Murphy - 75
Raelin - 80
Footx2 - 150

Parmenio disciplines Raelin and you've got yourself a fun, balanced hero - squad ratio with some staying power. The Foot heads for high ground while Murphy provides the diversion.

BANJO WILL GET YOU THROUGH THE TIMES WITH NO MONEY. MONEY CAN'T GET YOU THROUGH THE TIMES WITH NO BANJO.

I've never got why people think Maul is such a joke. Personally, the 25% chance of automatic squad killing or good damage on a hero.

I posted in the overall 500 pt competitive army thread about a laglor/q9/2xmicrocorp army that I'm itchin to try out when I get my laglor in a couple of days, but looking at this thread I could totally see switching q9 out for James murphy and the krav. So overall you have laglor/murphy/krav/2xmicrocorp, which I think would be über effective

Actually, that's based around the Minions.
Obviously, it's complementary. The minions are slow but have strong defense and are adept at killing heroes. The cowboys provide ranged support and are suited towards killing clumped up squad figures.

Furthermore, I think Ollie made a deliberate effort to build an army that included the cowboys (including James Murphy), given that there are more competitive options for 170 points (i.e. Kaemon Awa + Marro Warriors).

It seems that both James Murphy and Johnny Shotgun are discussed here. For Islandscape, a tentative 575 point army is

210 Braxas
180 Stingers x 3
120 Krug
65 Johnny Shotgun
575, 14 spaces
