Custom cut tiles
Looking for input and comments.
Laser cut - Custom tiles - Mirror and black matte Tar pits or oil for the black and Wellsprings for the mirror tiles. Only did single tiles as an experiment. Next time I will do larger tile sections. Other colors to come.... swamp, swamp lands, bogs, quicksand, etc... Update 09-10-08: Looking for photos form people that have purchased these tiles for www.millermixture.com Working on a dice box idea with LiefKicker and hoping to get some of his product up son on my site too. Laser
Not sure. I work for a company that laser cuts graphics for license tags and frames. I am new to the company and just learn to use my skills as a graphic artist to apply in to CAD to send to laser cutter. This was an experiment using Flash as the drawing program. To make more of these I will have to invest lots of cash into cutting a 2 ft. x 2 ft. sheet of 1/8 in. acrylic. I have created the sheet to get it done now need the money to cut it. Laser time and acrylic plastic = BIG $$$. Need to find other people to invest in the same interest to cut the cost.

Pretty cool! I like the idea of a tar pit - although we'd need some new rules to go along with the tiles.

We played with a push and knockback house rules. To get out of tar you had to roll a 15 or higher. Also we could set fire to the tar with successful attack.
PUSH: In lieu of a normal attack, a figure may attempt to push an adj enemy over an edge. To push, make a successful attack. That figure is pushed over the edge and takes no damage from the push, but takes falling damage according to the Heroscape official 2nd Edition rules. KNOCK-BACK: Whenever a defending figure rolls 0 shields (not counting bonus shields) he is knocked back1 space. The attacker places a knock-backed figure 1 space from where the figure was. If this sends them over an edge, falling rules apply. Leaving engagement strikes do not apply. Found these house rules somewhere on this site. |

Cost will run me $90.00 to run one 2ft x 2ft Sheet. Lots of colors to choose from as well. |

If you make tar pieces you would really need tar monsters that can move through tar with out a problem. They would be able to throw tar which would require a roll of a d20 to escape but they can't injure ranged. to move out of tar you would need a 15+, but to unstick yourself from thrown tar it would be like 12+.
Those are my suggestions. |

I was thinking of repainting Obsidian Guards black with similar powers for tar.
