The Book of Pinhead
The Book of Pinhead C3G BOOM! STUDIOS SUPER SECRET EXCLUSIVE 56 FRIGHT NIGHT Comic PDF Mini PDF The figure used for this unit is a modified Heroclix figure from the Avengers Assemble set. Its model number and name are #054 / Nightmask. Tutorial on How to Paint/Mod this Figure Character Bio - Pinhead originated as Captain Elliott Spencer (c. 1893-1930), an explorer and a British Army veteran who served in World War I living in the far east. His transformation into Pinhead, a.k.a. "Lead Cenobite", "The Angel of Suffering" or "The Dark Prince of Pain", came about through his opening of the Demonic Lament Configuration. In the Hellraiser comic book series, he is depicted as being the latest incarnation of the Cenobite spirit Xipe Totec, an entity derived from Aztec mythology. Now, he is the leader of the Cenobites, he travels the world to taste your flesh! Pinhead does not kill quickly; he and the Cenobites are well-versed in torture. Death does not end the suffering of his victims, either, as the victims are brought to Hell/The Labyrinth, where, Pinhead says, "We have an eternity to know your flesh." - Comic Vine _________________________________________________________________ -Rulings and Clarifications-

Re: The Book of Pinhead (Breathing)
NAME = PINHEAD
SECRET IDENTITY = ELLIOTT SPENCER SPECIES = DEMON UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = TORMENTOR PERSONALITY = SADISTIC SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5 LIFE = 6 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 5 DEFENSE = 6 POINTS = 335 DENIZENS OF HELL After revealing an Order Marker on a Slasher or Tormentor card in your army, instead of taking a turn with that card, you may roll 3 combat dice. Take a turn with up to X Slasher or Tormentor figures in your army. X equals the number of skulls rolled. You may not take any additional turns with other figures you control. HELLRAISER When a Unique Slasher Hero in your army is destroyed, begin your next turn with a total amount of Wound Markers on that Slasher's card equal to their Life number. Each time any other figure within 4 spaces of Pinhead receives one or more wounds, if it is not an Android, destructible object, or Construct, remove a Wound Marker from the card of a destroyed Unique Slasher Hero in your army. When the last Wound Marker is removed, you may immediately place that Slasher on a space adjacent to Pinhead. HOOKED CHAINS MUTILATION Instead of moving and attacking, you may choose a figure within 4 clear sight spaces of Pinhead. Roll the 20-sided die. Subtract the figure's remaining Life number from the roll. If you roll 9 or higher, the figure receives one wound. You may continue rolling for Hooked Chains Mutilation until you do not roll 9 or higher. Last edited by Arkham; August 8th, 2022 at 04:58 PM. |

Re: The Book of Pinhead (Breathing)
Comic:
Background: Figure Tutorial: Start with the Nightmas figure. Remove the translucent pieces from his arms and hands. They come off pretty easy just from pulling, be careful on the hand ones not to mess up the hands. Paint all but his head black. Paint his head whitish flesh, as well as his palms and his middle 3 fingers. Then paint the open slits white showing his stomach, as well as the 3 along each side of his torso. Add a dark red splotch in the middle of each 3 exposed white parts on each side of his chest, as well as a regular red just underneath, representing his hanging torn flesh. Then paint a little dark grey for his lips and eyes, as well as some highlights in his attire and you're all finished! Last edited by Arkham; February 4th, 2020 at 11:02 PM. |

Re: The Book of Pinhead (Breathing)
I personally dislike the stacked return mechanics for Jason V and Mike M. I'm not saying it's OP, although it's strong; rather I'm just saying I don't particularly like the separate return mechanics.
Hooked Chains Mutilation seems very strong. We've seen Typhoid Mary with Mutant Outcast boost so it's not unprecedented, but it's strong. |

Re: The Book of Pinhead (Breathing)
Open to any alternate approaches. Not sure how to rope in Leatherface, Chucky, and Freddy without including Jason and Michael. If anything, it’s probably not best to use it on Jason if he can already bring himself back. Michael is a little different since he can only come back once and it’s immediate. I would think you’d want to bring back the ones who can’t bring themselves back. Jason also struggles if there’s no space out of clear sight, so this helps that.

Re: The Book of Pinhead (Breathing)
Maybe have something like: when a Slasher is destroyed, you may put them on Pinhead's Army Card, as long as they're on his card all powers are negated, blah blah blah resurrection stuff.
That forces you to choose between their card or his if they have any post-death powers. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of Pinhead (Breathing)
If he doesn't think it's a competitive issue, I'm not sure we need to try too hard to make a change here.
@dok how would you best try to cheese the current version if that were your goal? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Pinhead (Breathing)
Been about 24 hours with no additional thoughts posted. Are people thinking we're good to see some testing begin?

Re: The Book of Pinhead (Breathing)
I'm cool with testing. This one saw some pretty heavy workshopping and I think he's in a good place - just gotta get him on the battlefield and see if he works in practice as well as in theory.
(EDIT: And I'd go with the SP version of Hellraiser over the no-Jason/Michael version) |
