Re: The Book of Starman (Jack Knight)

I was rereading Starman, and it's a shame Jack doesn't have Yukio's Jujutsu power since it's the fighting style they make a point of mentioning that he learned. Looking back though, she was started after Starman so I get why he doesn't have the power. Overall though, I still love this design, and I love Starman. He's one of my favorite characters, and this is becoming one of my favorite designs, and this is one of my favorite moments from that series.

Re: The Book of Starman (Jack Knight)

Interesting Starman tidbits:

1. The art of Jack on the card is by Andrew Robinson, the then studiomate of Tony Harris, who is the original artists and model of Jack Knight/Starman. They were both of Jolly Roger Studio at that time.
2. I was the model for Jack's dead older brother, David Knight. If you pick up certain Tony Harris drawn issues, you can see what I looked like at that time.

Its a small world as I type this from Parts Unknown!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it kind of a joke that Jack only took a few lessons, years before the start of the series? He's not a bad fighter, but he's certainly not a true practitioner. Glad you like the design though!

Seriously? That's really neat.

It's more like he taught himself enough to be a decent fighter, but he was a little rusty at the start of the series. He got better, but you're right that he's probably not as good as Yukio. Still, it is a great design!

Re: The Book of Starman (Jack Knight)

The set name for the figure used should be Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes, to avoid confusion with the similarly named Legion of Super-Heroes Collector Set.
