First turn Zelrig bomb doesn't look promising. Cyprien can handle Mogrimm or Zelrig by himself. Then you have Ashras vs. Dwarves and on a map with this kind of elevation and shadow tiles Ashra will benefit.

I'll take Wonderball. He's just got avoid the Z-bomb, take out the heroes, and let the dice take their course for agility.

Frylock: 14 Wonderball: 8

1. Predictably, Zelrig flies out to the middle of the map and fires at a cluster of elves, killing two:


1. The warriors move out, trying to deny any big Z-bombs.

2. Zelrig finds a cluster of three elven warriors next to Nilfheim. Each receives one wound:


2. Cyprien moves next to Zelrig and rolls for chilling touch...


Well, that's the game right there.


But wait! There's more!

3. Frylock's third turn is on a dead dragon.

3. Cyprien flies into Frylock's start zone and rolls for chilling touch on Mogrimm...




At this point, Frylock is ready to throw something.

Round 2 initiative
Frylock: 17 Wonderball: 20

1. Cyprien isn't satisfied with one-shotting the two heroes. He begins to kill off the frightened dwarves:


1. Four dwarves surround the vampire, and fail to wound him even once

2. Cyprien kills two more midgets, one with a 20 for chilling touch:


2. Once again, the dwarves are too afraid to wound the vamp. They haven't been rolling more than one skull for almost every attack.

3. The warriors move up and take the two glyphs: Brandar (dud) and Defense +1

3. Finally the dwarves push one wound through on Cyprien:

Frylock: 5 Wonderball: 6

1. And Cyprien immediately heals himself with one of the remaining Axegrinders:


1. The dwarves continue their streak of poor rolling, failing all attacks.

2. For the first time this game, Cyprien does nothing against Frylock's army.

2. Four more attacks and one more wound on the vampire for the dwarves:


3. The elves move up and kill a dwarf:


3. In retaliation, the dwarves bring death to one of the Ashrans:

Frylock: 4 Wonderball: 20

1. Cyprien removes his wound by killing a dwarf:


1. The dwarves have given up trying to kill the invincible vampire, and turn their attention to the warriors. The elf on the defense glyph goes down:


2. Cyprien continues unchecked; two more dwarves meet their maker:

(I don't know why that wound is there. Maybe he healed himself?)

2. The dwarves fail all attacks, but take the defense glyph.

3. The "masters of melee" send two dwarves packing:




3. One more wound on Cyprien is all the Axegrinders can handle:


Round 5 initiative
Frylock: 15 Wonderball: 20

1. The warriors kill the dwarf on the glyph:


1. But the dwarves reclaim the glyph and kill two elves:




2. Cyprien tires of staying in one place. He joins the fray by the glyph, and takes out a dwarf nearby:


2. The dwarves (all three of them) need to sharpen their axes.

3. Cyprien cannot be stopped! He sends another Dwarf back to the Burning Forge in the Sky:


3. Once again, the dwarves have just given up.

Round 6 initiative
Frylock 13 Wonderball: 1 (hah!)

1. My last two dwarves takes out an elf:


1. The elves retaliate, killing half of the remaining dwarves:


2. The last dwarf whiffs his attack

2. and is chilled by Cyprien the Everlasting:


Wonderball68 destroyed Frylock's army, only losing 10 elves in the process.

Wonderball "generously" offered to re-roll for Mogrimm's one-shot, but it wouldn't have helped without Zelrig. Overall, Wonderball68 rolled 6 20s. Not exactly your average luck.

This game was the second luckiest win I've ever seen... or even read or heard about. Two twenties for chilling touch, right when he needed them, one after the other.

The luckiest game was when his Isamu single-handedly took out my full-health Nilfheim for the win.

Actually, there were six. Shortly after I one-shot Mogrimm, I roll a 20 for an axegrinder.
