I would be surprised if STAR-LORD doesn’t win this one, he has got my vote!

Second choice is a little more difficult but I’m going with Spider-Girl. She fits in really good with Charos’ Sinister Diva army if you are going for just over 1,000 points. You can check out Charos’ article on Spider-Girl here.
Pro tip: Sinister Divas is an incredibly fun army, especially if you toss in Scarlet Witch!

I think I'll go with Ryu and Star-Lord. Ryu is pretty simple but fun and he started off the fighting games representation in C3G. Star-Lord has a very clever way of synergizing with the Guardians.

E-Ray, the most important design in C3G history.

Star-Lord, one of those designs that finds itself in my armies time and time again. Just so versatile and evocative of the character from that point in time.

Almost went with E-Ray, but shout out to Gorilla City Warriors, a wonderful squad. Squads are tough to do right in Superheroscape, so kudos to johnny for doing it here.

My other choice has to be Doctor Manhattan. I’m always impressed by well-executed Event Heroes and this one is so outside the box that it has its own round tracker!

I'm gonna go Witchblade - one of my favorites and a very good portrayal of her, and Vulcan - I remember loving his design and I feel like he is one that we absolutely nailed thematically.

1. Star-Lord - One of the top 10 most used designs for me easily. All of his specials are useful, and he's a great leader figure, encouraging some diverse builds.

2. Nova Prime - Love this design. I got this as a bday design years back and was very happy with it. The multiple attacks are great, the re-rolls are cool, and he's just overall a fun powerhouse unit.

Honorable mention to Sersi. She's a really fun design as well, especially in bigger point games with multiple players, used as a healing station in the start-zone.

Iron Patriot and Maxima

Star-Lord is cool, but Iron Patriot is tops for funky leader figures.

Maxima took a lot of testing to get right, but she's super fun.

Well, not unexpected at all to see Star-Lord jump out to an early lead. This might just be a poll to see who #2 is. Here are my votes, no Star-Lord from me.

Gorilla City Warriors : Echoing Bats here I know, but I don't really play very many squads in C3G so when one stands out it really stands out for me. I think that is in part because classic scape burned me out on squad and somewhat in part because I just enjoy my specific heroes and villains more than generic guys. The Gorilla City Warriors are one of the squads I really enjoy fielding in C3G though. Really fun and effective unit. They are intimidating and terrifying enough to justify watching them swarm and knock down my Batman.

Chun-Li : I was never very enthusiastic about having Street Fighter join the ranks of C3G, I may have enjoyed the video game but they were just that to me, video game characters. Chun-Li was the figure that started to turn me around on their inclusion. Her being a Agent opened her up into some fun non-Street Fighter armies for me.

I'm not sure if I can decide on a top two... but I think I'm going to run down that list and take a nice little walk down memory lane.

Spoiler Alert!

Spider-Girl | My first design! And while I know she has her fans, I'm always a little disappoint by her... mechanically she's a ton of fun, but she doesn't feel very "Mayday" to me. Wish I had had a more concrete vision to start with.

Molly Hayes | More concrete vision here, but a little wonky. In retrospect, she should really have lower base stats, the option to "pump up" to 7, with the risk of falling asleep. But I do love how it forces you to play around her limitations and ferry her around, which was really the genesis of the Runaways as a faction, so silver linings!

Ronan | Very clear mechanically but man is the wording funky on his Universal Weapon. Probably the first design I'm really proud of, though.

Gorilla City Warriors & Glyph of E-Ray | The Simian faction is one of my favorites, small and niche as it may be. The ability to mess with species/class/whatever is one of my favorite mechanics.

Gentleman Ghost | One of my absolute favorites. I feel like he really captures "old timey ghost thief" perfectly.

J. Jonah Jameson & Reverend Stryker | Brief seeds of a "Civilian bolstering" faction that I think is really cool. Neither are "necessary" characters, but I like nontraditional army ideas.

Ryu | I still remember people were kind of confused when I started him up, because we hadn't "voted in" Street Fighter. I only drafted him because Bats had drafted He-Man and I figured the barrier was down. But he beat He-Man to the streets by... a little bit.

Iron Patriot | Absolutely a favorite. I love how he's been embraced by more competitive and creatively minded army builders, as the best way to figure out how to exploit his benefits and minimize his weaknesses. I think, looking over in retrospect, "weird centerpieces to build armies around" is my strongest C3G legacy.

Etrigan | Someday I will design the Jason Blood to go with him. Someday!

Kryptonite Man | Easily my least-loved design, I think. He's not very good, even as a counterdraft.

Doctor Manhattan | Man he's so cool! In retrospect I wish I had gone with the smaller figure for him, since I think it better captures the passive nature of Manhattan... but you can't deny the bigger one looks cooler on the board!

Ant-Man (Eric O'Grady) | Oh man I love this one. And this book. He's such a jackass.

Robin (Jason Todd) | I think he's pretty much the perfect Jason. Though I wonder how much play he gets compared to the other Robins.

Witchblade | I feel like she's a bit oddly designed, and a bit too out there for her own good, but I ended up reading the comic long after I inherited her design and was like - hey, that design I did was pretty accurate after all!

Nova Prime | Love how he plays. Wish he had more reason to be drafted, and more armies to fit into.

Captain Marvel (Genis-Vell) | I don't think many people would like playing with Genis-Vell, but he's 100% the sort of design I like, so I'm happy he came out without too many changes. Though the trigger on his growing madness is sort of strange, since his Cosmic Awareness is half optional, half not.

Groot & Rocket Raccoon | Remember when Groot was an Arrogant Ruler and not a lovable outlaw sidekick guy? And Rocket was a space ranger? And nobody knew who either of them was? I remember.

Hulkbuster Soldiers | I actually had to look these guys up to remember what they do! I think they're better, and more thematic, on paper than on the battlefield.

Star-Lord | Possibly the crown jewel of my C3G career. I always sort of wonder if he should be Human instead of Spartoi, or if that would restrict your army options too much.

Vulcan | I love this guy! Power-Mad is really cool. I kind of wish there was a more interesting way to put his Cosmic Energy stuff in there, but frankly the dude is mostly just a beatstick in the comics anyways. I always thought it was funny we got to Gabriel Summers before Alex...

Pluto & Glyph of Helm of Invisibility | I think this guy is one of my more underrated designs. He's actually a lot of fun to play with! I think a lack of real army options is one of the reasons he's so under the radar.

Brides of Dracula | I feel like Dracula was a huge deal but no one ever really talks about him... so the Brides aren't talked about much either. But I think it's a cool dynamic.

Sersi | I sort of feel like she's not as pushed as she could have been. But I like her as a support unit. We need more Eternals!

Ken & Chun-Li & Guile & Blanka | I'm very proud of the Street Fighters, even if they're a faction I sort of fell into backwards... SirG and Scapemage laid a lot of the groundwork, but I'm the one who brought most of them home. In particular I like how they all slot into different factions, which lets them crossover into the wider C3G universe easily.

Maxima | Really love the execution here. Another cool build-around unit, but one that can change wildly depending on what you're opponent is bringing. I like that sense of unpredictability. Suits the character, too, who is one of my favorites.

Joker (III) | No one remembers the other Jokers, since the original hogs all the spotlight... another one that might be more fun on paper than on the field.

Karolina Dean & Chase Stein & Gert Yorkes & Old Lace & Nico Minoru | Ah, the Runaways. For something I sketched out right after my first design, they really turned out well. I love how much of a blitz they are, a very mobile pod that forces you to bring the fight to the enemy. No OM shuffling, no bonding (well sometimes with Old Lace), just free movement and careful attack ordering. My favorite comic book team and I'm proud I could do them justice!

Squirrel Girl | kick butts eat nuts

Sam (Samhain) | One design where I tasted, if only for a moment, what it's like to live in the whirlwind of activity that people like Arkham call home. The one design I've done that I don't think I've ever played a game with, which is something I always hate to do. Maybe for my next playtest...

Captain America (Sam Wilson) | I think he offers a nice alternative playstyle for an Avengers army. And I'm glad we got him out before the inevitable Captain Falcon movie.

When looking the list over, here's the ones that really made me warm and fuzzy inside:
