DoctorWhoScape is less likely than DaysofourLivesScape, but we can dream, can't we?
Several special abilities come to mind for a Doctor Who hero. Quick Thinking When you roll for Initiative add 8 to your die roll. Anytime after your opponent has revealed his first order marker you may rearrange any of your unrevealed order markers OR you may swap the positions of your opponents last two order markers after he reveals his second order marker. The Higher the Technology the More Susceptible it is to Primitive Attack The Doctor gets 1 automatic skull when attacking Soulborgs. All friendly units adjacent to the Doctor add 1 Attack die when attacking Soulborgs. Regenerate After The Doctor is removed from the game you may roll the d20 before rolling Initiative. If you roll lower than the total number of units your opponent has on the board, place The Doctor on the board on the same hex he was on when he died, or adjacent if that space is occupied. Companion Movement Bonding Before taking a turn with a Companion you may first move The Doctor up to 6 spaces. If he is engaged to no more than 1 enemy unit he takes no disengagement attack. Environmentalists make great compost. |

After much consideration I present to you... the Daleks' special abilities:
EXTERMINATE! Roll 1 extra attack die against a Human opposing figure. EXTERMINATE!! Roll 1 extra attack die against a Marro opposing figure. EXTERMINATE!!! Roll 1 extra attack die against an Elf opposing figure. Environmentalists make great compost. |

My son has started collecting these Dr Who figures, so I may well start working on ideas for The Doctor, his companions, and of course all the foes...... My NEXT project, perhaps
I do have a load of rules and stat cards from a Dr Who miniatures game, which you can download from a site on the web - (if I can find the details I'll post them up.) There are plenty of guidelines in there for some interesting heroes / squads. There is enough scope to give them unusual powers so that they can have unique effects on gameplay, rather than just duplicating existing heroscape cards with Dr Who figures. |
