Re: Public Design Workshop
Nice, I think that's actually pretty perfect. I could see Doom justifying ending diplomacy by claiming his Non-Immune, yet peaceful figure in his army had been provoked into attacking after being the target of his opponent for however long.
What was the change to Chucky? Even if he was the only figure on the battlefield, he couldn't be targeted?
This next bit is not exactly related, so feel free to ignore, but,
I'm a huge fan of Horror and NECA toys, and the genius way the c3g horror set was designed has me fan-fiction-ing in my head like I can't believe. I haven't played this matchup yet, or written any of this head-cannon out until now, but the mechanics of c3g horror have creatively inspired me to imagine something like this:
Doom uses the Puzzle Box to intentionally contact Pinhead and suggest working together with other Denizens of Hell to fight a being that is powerful enough to cause trouble for even Pinhead's domain.
Pinhead can't believe the insolence of Doom, ushering him away, stating that he eagerly awaits Doom's suffering. But secretly Pinhead feels a bit of fear from the power he sees in Doom, and believes that if someone like Doom is contacting him, he might be telling the truth.
Pinhead watches from afar as Doom storms Thanos' fortress by himself. Admiring his bravery, Pinhead sends in a little help here and there with visits by Freddy, who unsuccessfully tries to whisk the Mind Gem away into the dream world, and thus may never enter Thanos' dreams again; as well as by Myers, and Sam, making for a very peculiar Halloween night for Thanos.
Doom nearly dies in battle, but siphons Thanos' power, allowing Doom to not only ignore Thanos' killing blow, but feel completely revived by it. Doom gives Thanos a thank you gift in the form of a very creepy Doll.
Thanos ignores Doom and his gift, returning to his goal of *Snapping*.
Silently, Myers becomes less than a shadow. Pinhead begins to feel a horrifyingly unsatisfying death without suffering, and notices himself dusting. Sam reaches out with his little hand to take Pinhead's, and Pinhead reforms. Unfortunately, Sam is unable to save himself.
Thanos' attention returns to that doll, who is suddenly developing scratches across its face, bleeding as though it were alive. The doll springs to his feet, screaming angrily, with Freddy appearing beside him. Thanos, however, makes short work of Freddy.
Pinhead witnessing first hand Thanos' ability to kill Deities, Angels, and Demons with a thought, as well as Doom's brilliant schemes, takes it upon himself to confront Thanos, chaining him up. Pinhead, Chucky, and a returning Myers all take turns bloodying up Thanos until he loses his Gauntlet.
Enough blood has been spilt for Pinhead to welcome Freddy back from Hell.
Doom dons the Gauntlet, approaches the chained and dying Thanos, gains his power once more, and performs his own *SNAP*.
Pinhead's satisfaction watching Thanos die wears off quick, as one by one, Chucky, Freddy, Myers, and then himself, all disappear from existence, cursing Doom's name, exactly as Doom wanted.
Doom then makes safe passage to hell and back, accomplishing his lifelong goal of rescuing his Mother's soul, and allowing her to live a happy life in his Kingdom.
