I'm in Sutton Coldfield, on the edge of Birmingham.

Argos was my friend, until I ran out of shelf space for Master Sets at £20 a pop. I've tried Funagain (reliable, but oh so expensive on shipping), and now HouseMouse. I'm still hoping that HasbroUK will get its act together, but everything I know about the games industry tells me it isn't going to happen.

OK, after running a demo game at Beer & Pretzels (a games event in Burton Upon Trent where David and I ran four-player Heroscape games for two days straight), I've got the urge to demo it as much as possible to as many people as possible. Question is, when and where? Since I managed to quit Magic about ten years ago I've kind of lost touch with the gaming cons and events. Any suggestions?

Secondly, if you're after a way to potect army cards without that tedious mucking about with laminators, you could do a lot worse than these CD covers:
http://www.mouse2house.co.uk/index.p...94&Template=12

A fiver for 100, delivery included, makes them a bit cheaper than any high street shop (including Maplins). They're wide enough to take a HS army card vertically (some are not), and they are completely clear (rather than the textured matt finish of most polyppropalene sleeves). The only downside is the shiny finish might be a nuisance in some lighting conditions.

RichardD, how many mastersets do u have exactly?
I recently found some remaining MS's at £20 in woolworths just last week and bought two, now i have 3MS! I couldnt believe it cos i read on some other forum that they were selling out everywhere back in april and thought i'd missed out...but i think i might just be the only heroscaper in Hemel Hempstead!!!

I stopped at 4 Master Sets - although I'd not turn up my nose at more terrain, I can't justify spending £20 to get yet MORE Mimrings, Krav Maga etc. I got the first MS at huge expense from a big games fair in Germany 18 months ago, then three more in the great Argos £20 sell-off. Besides, you can build pretty adequate maps with 4 sets

I've also got 2 RTFF and 2 Tundras (I like symmetry), though think that a 3rd RTFF might beckon at some point (hexagonal based maps often call for triangular symmetry). 1 of each hero/unique pack, and 2 of almost all of the commons (I've got 3 romans, and 3 drones, but only 1 Monks and 1 Knights - again, I'll rectify that later).

Of course, all that Heroscape doesn't take up THAT much room, but the other 500 or so games do. All the figures (except the large monsters) live in two "Assorter 13 Handy Boxes" bought from Maplin. Useful carry cases as they let me sort everything by unit and faction. I reckon that there's enough space for another two waves before I'll need a third.

I know that I can't be the only HS player in Brum - it just feels like it.

My bedroom is jam-packed with other things so i can only make fairly medium sized maps unfortunately! All my packaging is ontop of my wardrobe so thats saves some floor space. I only have 1 of Tundra and 1 of VW, (along with one of each of everything else, except master sets), and i enjoy making symetrical maps (or i'd get moaned at by my brother for making it unfair).
I hope to get more Tundra/VW when (or should i say 'if') they become available over here!
I've pre-ordered Wave 5:Thora's Vengeance from HouseMouseGames and hopefully i can squeeze it in somewhere!!!

High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire :P

Managed to clear my local Woolworths out of mastersets - 3 of them at £20 a go.
My brother cleared out his local Woolworths in Staines, and there were several sets still left in Woolworths in Aylesbury last time I looked.
An independent shop in my area used to do all sorts of specialised games (lots of obscure foreign stuff too), but they closed down recently
Outside of my family, never found anyone fairly local thats into Heroscape.
Managed to get a few extras off Ebay from USA, but probably like a lot of my fellow Brits out there, bit annoyed about postage charges. Wish I knew someone going on their hols to America so they could bring me back loads of stuff!
