for what its worth, i'd appreciate any attempt (since you have the original files and the know-how of how to tweak your creation much better than me, not being a map person would be able to do), but I understand if you can't get to it, or don;t even think it should be modified. I understand creative choices.

I appreciate the suggestion of how you think is the best to raise it, even - that may be enough for us to clunk our way thru it, if we chose to give it a try.

Thanks for the replies, and the great example of mirroring vs. symmetrical.

As UD was saying some time ago, i will like to give to Ch1cano a "tital", as he is (IMHO) the best map builder with "only" 2MS: he have not so much to work with, and he still makes things differents and original.

UD was using the word "tital" for me, it tooks to me one day to think at that word, before asking about what UD wrote
The title purpose is just an idea of me, 'cause there's not so much mappers that works with only 2 MS <edit> with such so great result!

thx parduz =) But nessie doesnīt seem to emerge

In the first version of Bridge Switch i think that the start zones were to close together..


i changed it in the version in the download area and some minor things.


All the attachments are deleted the scneasrios are linked to the download area now.

Ok, today we have tryed your bridge switch map, even if with my modded version ( i don't have any but 2 MS and 3 wave1).
Dice says the winner: my six Sniper was wiped out in two turns by Airborns, which obtains 6 skull on 7 dice
No one cares about the bridge: all the battle was ranged on the 2 "mountains" before the river.
I think the scenery need to give a strong reason to go on the isle.
Anyway, is a good map to play.

Hi parduz!

so dice sasy the winner.. as always Thanks for your comments on the map! I thought the bunch of glyphs would be a strong enough reason to try to get to the island.... mmmh.

I made a new map called "Bridge Control" with some new rules for the bridge movement. This time the bridge doesnīt connect an isolated part of the map, itīs just in the middle of the action. We playtest it and it was fun. The bridge wasnīt rotated all the time, but when it was, there were some tricky moves going on. =)



Here are the rules for Bridge, not sure about the english wording, some help is appreciated, perhaps it can be simplified, thatīs always better...:

"The player who first occupies a brandar glyph, must place the bridge in one of the two positions.

The team or player which holds the most brandar glyphs has the control over the bridge. Each player of this team or this player can rotate one time during their turn the bridge to the next position. If both teams occupies the same amount of brandar glyphs, all players can do this. If both teams/players donīt occupy any brandar glyhp, the bridge canīt be rotated.

- The bridge can be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise.
- The bridge is rotated with all the figures on it.
- If a figure occupies a field, the bridge is placed on, that figure is destroyed when the bridge is rotated and placed on that field.
- If a figure leaves an engagement by the bridge rotation, the figure does not receive leaving engagement attacks
- A large figure like grimnak can be placed on the lower level 1 fields in the rotation radius of the bridge, although the figure is higher than the bridge. But the figure is not allowed to be placed there, if the bridge cannot be placed down freely in the two positions."
