These are stackable buildings my daughter designed and cut out with a laser cutter. Each story is 9 levels high.

We ran a playtest with 2 of these buildings replacing the ones in the C3G map, X Marks The Spot, and also added some benches and boxes she designed. We attached some turbo lifts to the buildings but they were never used. The benches are one level high to get to the seating and 3 levels high going over the backrest. The boxes are 3 levels high.

C3G STANDARD PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM

Spoiler Alert!

R1 - Hawkgirl flies onto a box. Hawkeye carries Speedy to a bench and they both shoot at Hawkgirl (but miss). Meggan moves beside Hawkgirl. Black Canary moves out with Batgirl. Vixen moves out. Donatello moves out and uses the gauntlet to move up GA: Oliver.

R2 - Hawkeye carries Speedy up to the roof of a building and they both shoot. Hawkeye gets 1W on Meggan. Meggan flies up there but misses Speedy. GA: Oliver rolls 20 on a skill shot and puts 2W on Hawkgirl. Hawkgirl flies up to the roof and hits Speedy for 2W. Black Canary moves onto the glyph and Batgirl grapples up to the roof of the other building. Martian Manhunter uses a JL marker to choose Vixen and Hawkgirl. Vixen hits Black Canary for 1W and Hawkgirl swoops down to hit Black Canary for 2W.

R3 - Black Canary KOs Hawkgirl and puts 1W on Vixen. Martian Manhunter uses a JL marker and chooses himself and Vixen. Vixen KOs Black Canary but Martian Manhunter misses Hawkeye. Hawkeye uses Quickshot to hit Martian Manhunter for 2W and move away. OM2 was on Hawkgirl. GA: Connor moves on the bench next to GA: Olver and shoots at Vixen but misses. Meggan tries to punch Speedy but misses.

R4 - Martian Manuhunter uses a JL marker: Vixen hits GA: Oliver for 1W and Martian Manuhunter KOs Speedy. Hawkeye KOs Meggan with Quicshot and moves away. Vixen hits Donatello for 1W, misses GA: Connor, and KOs GA: Oliver. OM2 was on GA: Oliver. OM3 was on Meggan. Donatello hits Vixen for 1W.

R5 - Last JL marker is used. Vixen misses Donatello and GA: Connor. Martian Manhunter hits Hawkeye for 2W. Batgirl grabs the gauntlet and moves GA: Connor to safety on a box. Martian Manuhunter hits Hawkeye for 1W. Hawkeye misses with Quickshot but moves away. Martian Manhunter shoots Donatello for 2W. GA: Connor shoots Vixen for 1W.

R6 - Martian Manuhunter misses Hawkeye. Donatello misses Vixen. Martian Manhunter misses Hawkeye. Batgirl mocves onto the glyph and moves Martian Manhunter back with the gauntlet but doesn't wound him. Martian Manhunter shoots at batgirl but misses. Hawkeye shoots at Vixen but misses.

R7 - Martian Manhunter hits Batgirl for 1W. Hawkeye grabs the gauntlet and moves Martian Manhunter back with the gauntlet but doesn't wound him. Martian Manhunter KOs Hawkeye. Batgitrl hits Martian Manhunter for 1W. Martian Manhunter moves onto the glyph and misses Batgirl. GA: Connor hits Martian Manhunter for 2W.

R8 - Batgirl grabs the gauntlet and moves Vixen back but doesn't wound her. Martian Manhunter moves to a bench and KOs GA: Connor. OM2 was on GA: Connor. Martian Manhunter KOs Batgirl.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Martian Manhunter had 3W (of 7 Life) and Vixen had 3W (of 4 Life)

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: While these buildings do give an extreme height bonus, they give a great city feel to the battlefield. The benches acted a lot like battlements you could climb on to get height and the boxes were nice bits of height in a pretty flat map.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: I like them. They really enhance the theme of superhero battles.

C3G STANDARD PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM

NAME OF THE PLAYTEST UNIT: Stackable Buildings, Benches

Army Test
Map: Custom Map with custom buildings and benches used as obstacles and 1 parked semi destructible object in the middle of the map
Units: Master Mold and 3 Sentinels (1000) vs. Magneto, Mystique, Havoc, Rover, and Destiny (1000)

We used knockback rules and a rule that if you started next to a building, you could move one space on top of the building for your entire move.

R1 - Everybody except Destiny moves

R2 - more moving. Magneto throws a sentinel twice for 2W. Master Mold attacks Mystique 3x with mutant seeking missiles but gets no wounds on her.

R3 - A sentinel shoots Magneto for 3W and another sentinel shoots Mystique for 2W. The 3rd sentinel attacks Rover but gets no wounds on him. He does get knocked off a building and into the semi though. Magneto throws a sentinel twice to KO it. Mystique hits a sentinel for 1W. Sentinels attack Mystique and Havoc. They get no wounds but do knock Havoc down off a building for 1W in falling damage. Magneto throws Master Mold twice for 2W. Master Mold shoots 3 missiles at Magneto but gets no wounds. Rover gets on top of the semi and hits a sentinel but gets no wounds.

R4 - Master Mold fails to bring back a sentinel but a sentinel KOs Mystique. Magneto throws Master Mold twice for 2W. Master Mold shoots 3 missiles at Magneto but gets no wounds. OM2 was on Mystique. Master Mold shoots 3 missiles at Magneto but gets no wounds again. Rover hits a sentinel for 2W.

R5 - Magneto throws Master Mold once for 1W. A sentinel hits Rover but gets no wounds. Magneto throws Master Mold twice for 2W. master Mold gets next to Magneto and hits him for no wounds but does make him fall off the building for 1W in falling damage. Rover hits a sentinel but gets no wounds. Master Mold KOs Magneto.

R6 - Havoc KOs a sentinel with Plasma Burst. OM1 was on that sentinel. Havoc attacks another sentinel but gets no wounds and Rover attacks it too but gets no wounds. Master Mold shoots 3 missiles at Havoc but gets no wounds. Rover KOs the sentinel. Master Mold gets no wounds on Havoc.

R7 - Havoc hits Master Mold for 1W. Master Mold KOs Havoc. OM2 was on Havoc. Master Mold puts 1W on Rover. Rover gets no wounds on Master Mold. Master Mold puts 1W on Rover.

R8 - Rover gets no wounds on Master Mold. Master Mold KOs Rover. Destiny and Master Mold move. Master Mold shoots 3 missiles at Destiny for 2W.

R9 - Master Mold uses all 4 OMs to try to bring back a sentinel and fails. Destiny attacks Master Mold 3 times but gets no wounds.

R10 - Master Mold uses 3 OMs to try to bring back a sentinel and fails. He then KOs Destiny.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Master Mold with 8W (of 10 Life)

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: The benches were used occasionally to get some height on the road. The buildings were used by everyone who could fly to get height and Destiny did use the special climbing rule at the end to hop on top of a building to attack Master Mold.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: I like them a lot. Those rows of buildings looked like we were fighting in the middle of a city and there was a lot of positioning trying to stay on buildings as we moved (and knocking figures off with Knockback). The benches are a nice thematic way to get a bit of height and have the battlefield still look like a city street.

Was the reason why you never used the Turbo Lifts because no one went into the buildings or because only flying/special movement figures did?

I really like the idea of having benches on a city street or in a park, I know I've looked at them for doll houses and other things before but felt the one I found in a store were too big in scale. Really like the boxes/crates too. I could see a warehouse or a dock filled with them and those come in all sizes and shapes in real life. We created some Crate/Container/Canister DO's for HoSS and they are really fun to use.

Yeah, it was only flying and grappling figures that went on top of the buildings (and one archer Hawkeye carried up). If we had more figures, I'm sure the turbo lifts would have been used.

Very cool, love the pics.

I like how the top is capped for maximum hexes. We did this with our custom buildings. I see you remove the base for the first floor to expose the hexes nicely.

Hard to find much fault in these. I guess I would want to jazz them up with some art or windows and doors.

The move to the top is interesting. Pretty close to what Conan has naturally.
We always had at least one Boom Tube on the ground level to help ground pounders get to the top.

I could see ladders, or turbo-lift or maybe a stairs or elevator glyph.
For some reason for these I feel like some sort of fire escape would be cool.

Your Mastermold looks a lot like mine...only mine is blue...

Wow you printed a lot of those and some crates as well. They look to be the same size as the crates I have ready to go in my design thread.

Did you engrave the hexes on the base? Forgot to mention how sweet that looks.

Yep, the hexes are engraved on. The large Iron Man figure is one of those large Marvel figures for $10 they sell in most stores. I use it for Master Mold, Galactus, Anti-Monitor, and the like. The smaller Iron Man figure was from Burger King and we used it for Rover this game.
