Knockback house rule
Anyone thought about adding knockback to Marvelscape. I used to play Heroes RPG and knockback was always a fun rule.
The only problem I have in applying it is that "to hit" and damage are rolled at the same time and that toughness defense and agility defense are combined into one number. I know that only SS characters should be able to do it. I originally thought that I could take a corelation of damage & size to determine how many hexes someone would be knocked back if hit. But high defense heroes that are tough would get the same advantage as very agile characters. Characters like thing and superman should actually be able to be knocked back with heavy blows, but still not take any health damage, they just shrug it off. Alternatively, basing it on just the strength of the attack, gives a disadvantage to agile defense characers as they shoudnt be knocked back unless they actually take damage. Anybody have any other quick ideas to kick around? If you can't beat 'em, eat 'em! |
