Re: The Book of Master Splinter - Breathing
Minor request, can you please update your SP with the standard design for? No underlined text, all caps where appropriate etc. Keeps these things uniform from design to design, and is nicer when doing the card if everything is as it's supposed to be, such as all caps for easy copy and pasting.

As for the spells...well that's more of a product of me doing all the spell cards and it's not as much to deal with since it's only a handful of fields total. I tend to try and limit my complaining in the hope that when I do need to complain it feels important enough for people to listen... Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: The Book of Master Splinter - Breathing
What about, instead of making Master of Ninjitsu into Ninjitsu + a separate attack effect + a separate defense effect, we take baseline Ninjitsu as the 'attack effect' of Splinter's MMA equivalent, and then try to work up a corresponding defensive aspect to the power? Spitballing, but maybe something like this that could let him clown some Foot Ninja:

SPLINTER!!!
As with the other TMNT designs, everyone needs to remember this is not frail old Splinter from the cartoon or movie. This is comics Splinter and comics Splinter is like Batman. I like Father's Devotion and Wisdom of the Rat fine even though they really are 2 powers each combined. Master of Ninjitsu is really complicated though. If there is room on the card, we should split it into two powers. |

Yeah, damn right (well, I know him from the 2003 cartoon, but still, that Splinter fits your assessment of comics Splinter) - Splinter should be an absolute badass and one of the premier martial artists in the C3G world. I'm thinking 200 points minimum, here, and he should be able to school any of his sons 1-on-1. |

Re: The Book of Master Splinter - Breathing
You could swap out the Attack nerf part for something counterstrike-y. I just wanted to post an example of what I was talking about (though I do really like the Phantom Walk block part as well).

Re: The Book of Master Splinter - Breathing
OK, I think I see the issue here. I think most of us are looking at this as a lunch box version (meaning that it encompasses all the different versions of a character), not a specific version. For me, this is because I don't see C3G doing multiple versions of Splinter. I mean look at the current ranks. How many iconic characters have only one version? Many! I think in shooting for a specific version from a specific medium, you may very well be capturing the Character you know and love, but not necessarily what others are envisioning. I could be wrong, but I imagine that since it took about 6 years to get the Turtles made, most of the Heroes are looking at these as lunchbox, catch-all versions of the TMNT characters.
