I am clearing out my basement in order to furnish it for my growing family. I have a large set of Heroscape for trade or sale (other items as well, see the list, and my eBay link in 5.0 below).

I am interested in seeing if I can sell the whole lot off for up to 30% off.

I live in the Chicago area if anyone is interested in trading locally. We can meet at a police station, or someplace safe.

[3.2] I checked all the Figures, and cards. I updated the list. I think my friend bought ~6 units about a year ago, and I need to figure out what they were. I seem to have lost my old inventory file. I will make a checklist, and inventory what is missing.

[3.4] I have one D&D set to inventory.
[3.5] I have dice, order markers, wound markers, and glyphs in great quantity.
[3.6] I have lots of instruction books.

[3.8] I have ~12 of the hive to inventory.
[3.9] I have more water to count.

That is probably the largest collection I've ever seen inventoried. 20+ castle sets? 11 RttFF sets? 8 Underdark sets? 8 RotV sets? You must have had some legendary maps when you were playing. Do you have any pics of your maps?

Back on topic, I think you'll have a tough time finding the buyer for the entire lot. You're probably looking at $4000-5000 easy. You'll probably make more selling it off in chunks/parting it out. It all depends on how much time you want to put into selling.

I am not in Chicago...but I have plans to go there in late March/Early April and could pick up any purchases I make.

Would you entertain breaking it up?

1 buyer seems unlikely, easy for you to be sure, but most 'Scape players don't need a retail store's worth of inventory, just some stuff to fill any voids.
You would make a killing breaking it up, it takes more effort, but more effort = more $$$
good luck in what ever you do.
I too would be interested in some pieces.

I have been playing RPGs and such since 5th grade (41 now). I was buying the sets, and selling the figures in order to keep the terrain. I bought a bunch on clearance. I thought the tiles would be great for RPGs and especially war-games like Battletech. I also bought a friend's friend's collection. He was asking ~$200 for what was likely worth much more. So I ended up with two large collections.


I like the figures least, then the tiles, and I like the trees most. I really like the trees. I would be up for trading for cash or trees (or sets with trees, two sets had trees?).

You should definitely sell the terrain to me at a penny per piece, with free shipping. But don't sell it to anyone else, no one else would buy it for such a high price and take a loss just to help a guy out, I'm willing to do that for you, cause you seem like a nice guy. Yeah. So let me know where to send my pennies.

On a serious note, I would be interested in snow/ice terrain, as well as the terrain+extras from the DnD set, I don't want the figures, I'd just resell them. Assuming the price is good, of course.

As for pricing... It depends on if you want to make money, or get the scape to a good home and get some money in return. I've been splitting the difference between eBay's buy it now price and Auggies buy list prices and that seems to be reasonably fair.
