In this army, Thanos is your shock troup. He is hard to ignore in an army with lots of heroes. Kurrok and the Fire Elementals give 3 chances per turn to try to bring Thanos back. Finally, the Fire Elementals wil burn through the high defenses of the Marvel figures. Thanos/Kurrok/Fire Elementals would be a very tough army to beat.

If hex limits are not an issue how about this:

Airborne Elite(what!?!)

1000 pts

Think about it, the Airborne Elite drop at the beginning of a round late in the game, your opposite says No! I got to take them out, this allows you to use your 1st order marker on Ornak maximizing his potential. If you don't want to take that approach they provide grenades that could demolish a huge army of 1000 points, everybody is next to each other.
