A major problem with this is that it can take damage from Searing Intensity due to its lack of Lava Resistant.

Yeah, I wasnt quite sure how to fix that, maybe some wording in lava affinity about being immune to Searing Intensity?

He can't be adjacent to himself, the card seems fine to me.

Take the "he is" out of the negative element ability.

"Ultimate Fire Elemental is considered to have the lava resistant power"

should do it.
