Design looks spot on, I have a question which is just curiosity. I like his Hellfire SA, but I'm curious why you didn't just use Fireline SA? Again not critical, just curious as to your thoughts.

Well, I don't really see Etrigan shooting fire that far - or, at least, from my memory don't. Generally it's more of a "sweeping" fire with him, where it goes out in a sort of triangular shape. So I tried to incorporate that, but give it more flexibility. With this he can do a straight line, or a bunch of adjacent figures, or in a triangle... I think it better captures the sort of fire breath he has.

I seem to remember a comic from the 90's in which Joker summoned Etrigan and Etrigan used his Hellfire in a pretty projectile manner. But that's not to say I see a need for a change here, since I don't.

Not an issue with choosing a space. This way you don't have to choose a figure and figures within 2 spaces of that figure are also affected. There will usually be an adjacent space to base the other two figures affected off of. But if there's a figure there too, all the better.

Yep. You can't target a space, or have clear sight on a space, but you can certainly choose a space.

- Give a brief overview. In one-on-one matches he's a bit of an underperformer, but against groups he's strong enough to tear through figures with reckless abandon. I think he evens out around 320, possibly a bit higher.

Abomination wins; 4 Wounds, 2 Rounds. Essentially a slugfest, where a bad roll put Etrigan down lower than Abom.

TEST 2

Units: Etrigan (320 Points) vs. Abomination (Hasbro) (320 Points)
Abomination wins; 5 Wounds, 2 Rounds. Another slugfest where more Life and sheer ferocity gives Abomination a win.

TEST 3

Units: Etrigan (310 Points) vs. Magneto (310 Points)
Etrigan wins; 1 Wound, 2 Rounds. This one is a bit finnickier... Magneto throws and defends very well, but eventually his defenses are cracked by Etrigan's offensive.

TEST 4

Units: Etrigan (310 Points) vs. Magneto (310 Points)
Magneto wins; 3 Wounds, 2 Rounds. A super close one with some close decisions by Magneto (whether or not to resort to throwing figures around). Just barely pulled off a win by keeping his shield up.

TEST 5

Units: Etrigan (310 Points) vs. She-Hulk (310 Points)
She-Hulk wins; 3 Wounds, 2 Rounds. Hard Body tends to be of more use than a static 6 Defense, and that combined with Gamma Healing gives She-Hulk a one-on-one edge.

TEST 6

Units: Etrigan (310 Points) vs. She-Hulk (310 Points)
Etrigan wins; 5 Wounds, 2 Rounds. This time, Etrigan rolls BIG enough to take She-Hulk down with overwhelming force.

TEST 7
Map: Sewer Labyrinth
Units: Etrigan (310 Points) vs. Black Canary, Robin: Tim Drake (310 Points)
Etrigan wins; 2 Wounds, 3 Rounds. Etrigan absolutely tears through the Vigilante Duo... his Hellfire Burst comes in handy and his defense stands up to the assault, while his attack is enough to tear through them.

TEST 8
Map: Sewer Labyrinth
Units: Etrigan (320 Points) vs. Batman: Bruce Wayne, Robin: Tim Drake (320 Points)
Etrigan wins; 2 Wounds, 3 Rounds. This one takes a bit longer as Robin clings to life... but again, Etrigan is able to dominate against lower-level units like this.

TEST 9
Map: Sewer Labyrinth
Units: Etrigan (320 Points) vs. Scorpion, Harley Quinn (330 Points)
Etrigan wins; 1 Wound, 2 Rounds. Really poor rolls on defense from Harley brings her down fast, with Scorpion following suit soon after.

TEST 10
Map: Sewer Labyrinth
Units: Etrigan (330 Points) vs. Silver Surfer (320 Points)
Silver Surfer wins; 3 Wounds, 2 Rounds. The Surfer runs circles around the poor Demon... though he does get some good hits in.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents win; 8 destroyed, 3 Rounds.

SO close! The Hellfire Burst was really able to tear it up and hit multiple targets, but the Agents started to space themselves out, and three attacks of 3 was tough to get past. The last agent got a lucky shot in and finished Etrigan off... very good match.

Etrigan wins; 2 Wounds, 3 Rounds.

This one wasn't even a contest. The Parademons rolled TERRIBLY, and Etrigan put up a consistent firebomb... Leap was a good choice (as opposed to Stealth Leap) as there's the choice of taking a LE attack for an advantageous Hellfire Burst or staying put and attacking fewer targets.

- Give a brief overview. Hmm... not a good game for Etrigan. The Penance Stare REALLY hurt him, as did the Stealth Dodge that, to an extent, counteracted his Hellfire Burst.

Units: Etrigan, Zauriel (650 Points) vs. Ghost Rider, Vampire Minions x3 (650 Points)

Spoiler Alert!

Legions of Hell win; 4 Vampire Minions destroyed, all others unharmed, 3 Rounds.

ROUND 1: The Vampires swarm out of the gate, but do no real damage to the duo. Two are killed in the process.

ROUND 2: Zauriel takes a big hit of four wounds from the Vamps, while Etrigan takes two. Another two Vampires killed.

ROUND 3: Ghost Rider drives in and kills Etrigan with a Penance Stare.

- Give a brief overview. This one was a lot closer. Etrigan was a man on a mission, killing a good number of Vampires and putting the hurt on Ghost Rider. A bit of luck shifting in his favor is all it would have taken to win the match.

Units: Etrigan, Zauriel (650 Points) vs. Ghost Rider, Vampire Minions x3 (650 Points)

Legions of Hell win; 4 Wounds on Ghost Rider, all others destroyed, 5 Rounds.

ROUND 1: The Vampires charge in again, but Zauriel gets all of the markers. His scream tears through a LOT of vamps, though.

ROUND 2: Zauriel ALMOST makes it to Ghost Rider, and kills yet another Vampire... but it's of no use, and they finally tear through his defenses. Four Minions remain.

ROUND 3: Etrigan burns through the remaining Vampires on his approach to the Rider.

ROUND 4: The two engage. Ghost Rider continually tries the Penance Stare, while taking a hefty beating from his demonic opposite.

ROUND 5: Finally, a Penance Stare takes Etrigan out.

- Give a brief overview. Another really close match. A slightly better roll from any Vigilante could have completely turned things around, and it was really down to the wire around the end. Good game overall. Etrigan definitely earned back his points... he killed Nite Owl and Batman while taking a lot of wounds.

Units: Etrigan, Hush, Solomon Grundy, Gentleman Ghost (995 Points) vs. Batman: Bruce Wayne II, Huntress, Rorschach, Nite Owl, Robin: Tim Drake, Batgirl: Cassandra Cain, Catgirl (1000 Points)

Spoiler Alert!

Gotham Ghouls win; 3 Wounds on Solomon Grundy, 1 Wound on Gentleman Ghost, all others destroyed, 10 Rounds.

ROUND 1: Batman starts the game with Bat Shuriken, Bat-Grapple, and First Aid Kit. Batman is Hush's Obsessive Vendetta. Gentleman Ghost zooms over to pester Batman, but is unable to do any damage as the Vigilantes advance. They put a wound on Craddock.

ROUND 2: Etrigan runs in to protect Hush from Batgirl, putting a wound on her. The Vigilantes start to slow on approach, while Grundy kills Batgirl before she can hit Hush.

ROUND 3: Grundy squished Robin as he comes in for an attack as well. Huntress puts two wounds on him in retaliation as Rorschach brings in Catgirl.

ROUND 4: Batman finally kills Gentleman Ghost, but Etrigan replaces him and kills Nite Owl with one flame. Huntress then kills Grundy. Etrigan puts two wounds on Huntress, but Batman is unscathed and his Shadow Strike puts another wound on the Demon.

ROUND 5: Batman puts two wounds on Hush while Gentleman Ghost reappears, doing no damage to Batman once more. Huntress wounds Hush and another wound from Shadow Strike hurts Etrigan. Finally Batman finishes off Hush.

ROUND 6: Etrigan takes the assault into overtime, blasting at the two Vigilantes. Batman takes two wounds, but Etrigan is up to 5 thanks to Crossbows and Shadow Strikes.

ROUND 7: Grundy returns from the dead. Etrigan, with one big hit, kills off Batman. Huntress kills the Demon in return, then grabs Bat-Grapple.

ROUND 8: Grundy gets the Bat-Shuriken then kills Huntress. Rorschach comes in to put the hurt on the undead.

ROUND 9: The two pairs grapple for a long time... Rorschach and Catgirl take smaller wounds.

ROUND 10: Rorschach brings Grundy down to his last wound, but then Grundy kills him! Gentleman Ghost takes out Catgirl with his next attack.

FINAL THOUGHTS: Etrigan really tears through low-level heroes, is about even against squads, but falters against heavy-hitters. Considering the benefits of Leap and Lava Resistant which didn't come into play, I think it'd be more prudent to put him potential-wise at 330 Points when sending him out, though I could see him coming back down to 320.
