He is right, but we cannot deny
that your time was well spent whilst giving it a try. Semi-Retired C3G Hero (and first Official Member of the C3G Target Audience!) The correct way to add C3G playtests to posts. Re: The Book of Etrigan (Design Phase)
Design looks spot on, I have a question which is just curiosity. I like his Hellfire SA, but I'm curious why you didn't just use Fireline SA? Again not critical, just curious as to your thoughts.

Re: The Book of Etrigan (Design Phase)
Well, I don't really see Etrigan shooting fire that far - or, at least, from my memory don't. Generally it's more of a "sweeping" fire with him, where it goes out in a sort of triangular shape. So I tried to incorporate that, but give it more flexibility. With this he can do a straight line, or a bunch of adjacent figures, or in a triangle... I think it better captures the sort of fire breath he has.

Re: The Book of Etrigan (Design Phase)
I seem to remember a comic from the 90's in which Joker summoned Etrigan and Etrigan used his Hellfire in a pretty projectile manner. But that's not to say I see a need for a change here, since I don't.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Etrigan (Design Phase)
Not an issue with choosing a space. This way you don't have to choose a figure and figures within 2 spaces of that figure are also affected. There will usually be an adjacent space to base the other two figures affected off of. But if there's a figure there too, all the better.

Yep. You can't target a space, or have clear sight on a space, but you can certainly choose a space.

Re: The Book of Etrigan (Design Phase)
C3G INITIAL PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE TEST UNIT Etrigan - THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them. PASS - MIRROR TEST/ Check to see if the unit were played against itself, if there would be any loops that would upset the balance of the Game. PASS - BONDING TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing Bonding abilities to make sure there are no continual Bonding possibilities that do not stop appropriately or do not stop at all. This is to prevent loops in Bonding. PASS - SYNERGIES TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing synergies to make sure there are no factors that could break the game by making any unit too powerful or too weak. PASS - POWER CHECK/ Consider the test unit and all existing units and all glyphs to compare to and check for any powers that could be over amplified and break the game. Each power must define when it takes place, who or what it affects, and What are the stipulations on the power if there are any. PASS (Though as I notice now, there's no clear sight restriction o Hellfire Burst, so he can shoot through walls and such. I'll change that, makes more thematic sense that way.) - FUN TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play. PASS - FUN COMPETITIVE TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play against. PASS - DRAFTING TEST/ Consider whether or not this design is worth drafting. PASS - USAGE TEST/ Consider whether or not all of the powers on this card were used or at least usable. PASS - STRATEGY TEST/ Consider whether or not the design offers any real strategy or interesting tactics to the overall game. PASS Heavy Hitter or Mid-Level Hero Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? YES! - What should be the unit's point value? 320-330 POINTS - Give a brief overview. In one-on-one matches he's a bit of an underperformer, but against groups he's strong enough to tear through figures with reckless abandon. I think he evens out around 320, possibly a bit higher.
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Squad Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? YES! - What should be the unit's point value? 320 POINTS - Give a brief overview. Perfect match - down to the last man and final wound. Map: Sewer Labyrinth Units: Etrigan (320 Points) vs. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents x3 (330 Points)
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Squad Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? YES! - What should be the unit's point value? 330 POINTS - Give a brief overview. Really tore through the squads. I think 330 might be a better place. Map: Sewer Labyrinth Units: Etrigan (320 Points) vs. Parademon Shock Troopers x4 (320 Points)
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Army Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? YES! - What should be the unit's point value? 200~ POINTS - Give a brief overview. Hmm... not a good game for Etrigan. The Penance Stare REALLY hurt him, as did the Stealth Dodge that, to an extent, counteracted his Hellfire Burst. Map: Sewer Labyrinth Units: Etrigan, Zauriel (650 Points) vs. Ghost Rider, Vampire Minions x3 (650 Points)
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Army Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? YES! - What should be the unit's point value? 300~ POINTS - Give a brief overview. This one was a lot closer. Etrigan was a man on a mission, killing a good number of Vampires and putting the hurt on Ghost Rider. A bit of luck shifting in his favor is all it would have taken to win the match.
320-330 POINTS - Give a brief overview. Another really close match. A slightly better roll from any Vigilante could have completely turned things around, and it was really down to the wire around the end. Good game overall. Etrigan definitely earned back his points... he killed Nite Owl and Batman while taking a lot of wounds. Map: Sewer Labyrinth Units: Etrigan, Hush, Solomon Grundy, Gentleman Ghost (995 Points) vs. Batman: Bruce Wayne II, Huntress, Rorschach, Nite Owl, Robin: Tim Drake, Batgirl: Cassandra Cain, Catgirl (1000 Points)
Spoiler Alert!
FINAL THOUGHTS: Etrigan really tears through low-level heroes, is about even against squads, but falters against heavy-hitters. Considering the benefits of Leap and Lava Resistant which didn't come into play, I think it'd be more prudent to put him potential-wise at 330 Points when sending him out, though I could see him coming back down to 320.
