The Book of Beast Boy (Pterodactyl)
The Book of Beast Boy (Pterodactyl) _________________________________________________________________C3G DC WAVE 15 REMEMBER THE TITANS Comic PDF Mini PDF The figure used for this unit is a HeroClix figure from the Batman set. Its model number and name are #019 / Beast Boy. Character Bio - “Beast Boy has the ability to morph into any animal that he has seen himself or has seen in an illustration [...] These transformations take only a second and Beast Boy has demonstrated that he is capable of rapidly changing his form with little or no effort expended. [One such form is that of a Pterodactyl]. It was the German/French scientist Johann Hermann who first stated that Pterodactylus used its long fourth finger to support a wing membrane [....] Hermann restored the animal with wing membranes extending from the long fourth finger to the ankle and a covering of fur (neither wing membranes nor fur had been preserved in the specimen). Hermann also added a membrane between the neck and wrist, as is the condition in bats.” (Wikipedia.org, 2012). _________________________________________________________________ -Rulings and Clarifications-

Re: The Book of Beast Boy (Pterodactyl) - Design
Plan to use a custom mini on this one that I don't have in hand yet. So mini pictures and basing info might take a bit.

I'm hoping that second comic picture works for you guys (and that you can use your magic to "green" it up a bit!).

Re: The Book of Beast Boy (Pterodactyl) - Design
Thanks, Griff. That was obviously just a typo, so I went ahead and fixed it while I'm remembering. I don't think that dents the spirit of our breathing period any.

Re: The Book of Beast Boy (Pterodactyl) - Design
C3G INITIAL PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE TEST UNIT (BEAST BOY (PTERODACTYL)) - THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them. PASS - MIRROR TEST/ Check to see if the unit were played against itself, if there would be any loops that would upset the balance of the Game. PASS - BONDING TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing Bonding abilities to make sure there are no continual Bonding possibilities that do not stop appropriately or do not stop at all. This is to prevent loops in Bonding. PASS - SYNERGIES TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing synergies to make sure there are no factors that could break the game by making any unit to powerful or too weak. PASS - POWER CHECK/ Consider the test unit and all existing units and all glyphs to compare to and check for any powers that could be over amplified and break the game. Each power must define when it takes place, who or what it affects, and What are the stipulations on the power if there are any. PASS - FUN TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play. PASS - FUN COMPETITIVE TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play against. PASS - DRAFTING TEST/ Consider whether or not this design is worth drafting. PASS - USAGE TEST/ Consider whether or not all of the powers on this card were used or at least usable. PASS - STRATEGY TEST/ Consider whether or not the design offers any real strategy or interesting tactics to the overall game. PASS Heavy Hitter or Mid-Level Hero Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes - What should be the unit's point value? 20-30 - Give a brief overview. Beast Boy Pterodactyl’s stat distribution allows him to be a little more consistent than the other Beast Boy’s and his powers seem like they’ll be more useful in a larger army.
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Squad Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes - What should be the unit's point value? 20 - Give a brief overview. Beast Boy failed defensively and didn’t have the opportunity to get in more than one attack. Map: Custom Units: Beast Boy vs. Moloids x3 (30)

Re: The Book of Beast Boy (Pterodactyl) - Design
Ran out of steam today, but I'm one army test away. I like him at 30 points so far. He's very close to the Cheetah and Bear one-on-one, but he's a bit more balanced offensively and defensively than they are and more consistent as a result. He's also more helpful to his teammates than either of them are, and flying is a really nice bonus.
I'm sending this to the ERB now. Hopefully I'll be able to finish this test tomorrow so I can get the ball rolling before I go on my vacation Thursday. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Mmm ... licorice. *ravenous*
Thanks for the quick response! I've definitely been trying to keep the power sets for these guys nice and clean and simple so that it doesn't feel overwhelming when you combine them with Beast Boy himself. Cheers, Bats Quote:
