I think a mixture of #1 and #3:
When using Wavedash, move normally. If you pass through a figure, roll one unblockable die. Wavedash cannot be used on the same figure twice in one move. Deus Prosapia Sapentia! Psalm 16:8: "I will set the Lord before me always, He will be at my right hand so I shall not be moved."
