Some zombie resources we can use to get ideas:

Night of the Living Dead
Dead Walk Again
Zombies in the Zone
Bloodlust: 28 Days Later
Last Night on Earth
Zombie Game

I like the ideas for dead walk again. The actions system is really cool and sounds fun.

Ok here it goes so far.

Moving
In this game moving your characters works with AP.
Your character every turn has a certain amount of AP,
which means he is limited to what he can do each turn.
At the start of a new turn you regain all of your AP.
Here is the AP chart for certain actions

Walk: 1AP
Jump/Climb: 2AP
Hide/Cover: 1AP
Stand up from hiding: 1AP

Interaction

There is more to this game then just moving. There are certain
interactions your character can do. It costs AP just like moving,
and it has a chart.

Open door: 1AP
Pick up item: 1AP
Change weapon: 2AP

Weapons

Weapons are an essential part of a game with zombies.
You can fire, reload, and pick up weapons. It costs AP just
like everything else. Here is the chart.

Shoot/Fire weapon: 1AP
Reload: 2AP
aim: 1AP

Other Combat

Attacking without guns can benefit in many ways.
Using grenades is a great tactic also. Chart below

Punch: 1AP
Kick: 2AP
Pull grenade: 1AP
Throw grenade: 2AP

I tried to use the same system without copying the other games layout.
If you think it needs fixing or needs more tell me.

I like it. Instead of kicking and punching, we can go with Melee and Shove. That way if you use a bat, knife, etc it'll cost 1 AP, if you shove, it will cost 2 AP and the zombie is either pushed back one space or knocked down.

Here is an idea.

Its a 2-4 player game.

If you are playing with 1 other person, one player chooses zombies.
The other player will choose a "Zombie Hunter" which is a character in the game that tries to kill all the zombies. In a two player game, there is usually 6-12 zombies and one hunter.

If you are playing with 2 other people, one person chooses zombies, the other two are hunters. This time there is usually 12-20 zombies.

If you are playing with 3 other people, two people choose zombies, they each control 6 zombies, and there is two hunters.

If the hunters successfully kill all the zombies they win.
If the zombies kill the hunters, the zombies win.

Thats what I have so far.
Thats a paintball game man!

14568 wins, -3 losses.

I like the medic idea. We should incorporate it.

I'll post some pics of some of the rules layout and you can tell me what you think.

Ok.

I found a little mini guy that has a first aid kit. If I find some red acrylic paint
I can make him a red and white medic guy! He is a little taller than heroscape guys but I guess it doesnt matter.

Added some more ideas.

STATS
Depending on your weapon, armor and class will determine what your Attack, Defense, and AP will be.

BUILDING YOUR TEAM
Before you can play, you must create a team of four/five figures.

Once you have chosen, you will then equip and train your team before going on your first mission.

CLASSES
Medic
Sniper
Scout
Leader
Demolition
Weapon Specialist

SKILLS
Marksmanship - 2 pts. - Add +1Attack. Max level - 2
Leadership - 5 pts. - Add +2Action Points. Max level - 5
Agile - 2 pts. - Move over obstacles without penalty. Max level - 1
Hand 2 Hand - 2 pts. - Add +1Attack to Melee. Max level - 2
Dual Wield - 2 pts. - Use two weapons at a time. Max level - 1
First Aid - 2 pts. - Add +1 to healing item. Max level - 2

EQUIPMENT
Small Medkit - Removes 2 wounds.
Large Medkit - Removes 4 wounds.
Riot Gear - +4Defense.
Riot Shield - +1Defense.
Scope - +2Range.
Laser Sight - +1Aim
Flashlight - ???
Nightvision - ???
Adrenaline Shot - +2Action Points. One use.
Antidote - If a team member is in stage one infection, they are healed.

SPECIAL ABILITY CARDS
These cards can be played at any time. They are great at saving your butt on more than one occasion. These cards are chosen at the beginning of each mission and are chosen at random.

Sniped - Choose a figure you control. If that figure has a sniper rifle, destroy a zombie if it would deal a wound to another figure.
Distraction - Choose a figure you control. Play this card to draw the attention of any zombies within 10 spaces of your figure. Zombies already engaged will not disengage from combat.

Haha, I saw this and thought . Pretty funny. If you want to work on it, that would be awesome.

That scenario can be used as an intermission.

Zombie dance-off lol.

edit:

I know we are focusing on using HS minis, but if we ever want to use different ones I found some pretty interesting minis.

Female Commandos (not pre-painted)

Male Commandos (not pre-painted)

Zombie Commandos (not pre-painted)

About £7.75 each.
