But he already can't attack, so it seems like you are gaming the system to me. On one hand you are saying you can do this awesome thing but as long as you pay for it by sacrificing your normal attack, then you are saying you can do this awesome thing but now you don't actually have to pay for it anymore. It looks like the intent is to to game the system here based on Arkham's comment though, so if that is the case then the wording needs to be changed IMO. I don't know what that wording would look like without a ton of text explaining how sometimes you have to trade a normal attack in exchange for a special powers and other times you don't. |

Re: The Book of Nightcrawler (Kurt Darkhölme)
No, you don't "pay for it" with the attack, it's just not something you can do simultaneously with the attack. At no point is it established that you have to be able to attack in order to use the power and it's definitely been tested the other way.
We can ask the four playtesters here (or the three who are still active), but I'm pretty sure my and Karat's interpretation is the intended one. @Arkham @Ronin @Lazy Orang C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Nightcrawler (Kurt Darkhölme)
I believe the intent is that since the defensive "attack" is limited to the figure needing to be adjacent and only getting a single Bamf it works as sort of a counterstrike.
I think at my minimum we should add FAQ section. Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: The Book of Nightcrawler (Kurt Darkhölme)
Intent is he can use it on defense, and should be able to use it on a move turn from Cyclops as it’s not attacking.

Re: The Book of Nightcrawler (Kurt Darkhölme)
Thanks for the interp. I will play it at our upcoming tournament so that he can move three spaces and roll against an adjacent enemy when leaving on defense, and that he is allowed to use his unblockables during the movement portion of his turn so that Cyclops II can activate it.
