Beast and bonding... is it inevitable?
Arrow Gruts have Beast Bonding, as I'm sure you're all aware.
When Beast is released in the first Marvel HS expansion will he bond with the Arrow Gruts? Even if his type is Adventurer or Scientist, his name will still be Beast- that suggests to me that technically he will be able to bond with the Arrow Gruts. (The precedent I see here is Gladiatron Movement bonding. Their type is hunters, but obviously they benefit from this ability of the Blastatrons.) I don't spend much time in the Marvel area, so I apologize if this is old news. |

No, he will not bond with the Arrow Gruts. Yes, his name is Beast, but Beast Bonding works on Class, not name. No, it doesn't say this explicitly in the rules, but I'm sure we can easily get Craig or even WotC* to tell us so.
*Just mention the similarities between Class reference in Heroscape and Class references in Magic and they might figure it out. Arena of the Valkyire - Help create Heroscape's next Master Set! Trade List C3V Brainstorm never not funny Pepperony - 14/09/13 |

As far as I'm concerned, anyone who still feels Heroscape is incompatible with Marvel Heroscape is incompatible with this part of the forums. :P
Except Sky, cuz he's silly. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

That's what I thought, but I didn't see anyone else mention it much, and I was sure someone would try to say that it wouldn't work. The funny thing to me is that the only way to make Beast not bond with the Arrow Gruts would be for him to not be Beast.

I was under the impression that bonding worked based on the little descriptor text on the left-hand side of the card. Wouldn't Beast be classified as a Mutant and thus mean this won't work, or is there an errata bit I missed someplace regarding bonding?
This is not the path I thought. This is not the place I sought. This is not the dream I bought, just a fever of fate I've caught. |

I did tell a guy at the NY tourney he was not allowed to use the bright red blood markers on his Heroscape cards, he was very hospitable and began using the crimson ones. If you think I am joking you would be wrong |
