Hospitaller Knight--my twist on a Reaper miniature
My twist on a common Jandar knight champion, using the Reaper - Legendary Ecounters miniature...
Inspirder by DaethDoom's thread http://www.heroscapers.com/community...ad.php?t=35548 and the fact that I recently purchased the rest of the pre-painted Reaper miniatures. I purchased my first four 2.5 years ago. I'm not sure if the cost should be 25 or 30 points. Feedback is definitely welcome. If enough people (5-6 members) like this version I will submit it to Auggie's thread. Otherwise, it will simply be part of my custom collection. Re: Hospitaller Knight--my twist on a Reaper miniature
Very classic feel to this custom and I definitely think you should submit it to Auggie's potential unit thread.

Re: Hospitaller Knight--my twist on a Reaper miniature
I like this guy! As Sir Helm stated, it's a very classic figure with a good looking set of powers. I would suggest you reconsider how you execute Vanquish the Unholy, so that it does more than give a defense and attack boost- maybe an aura for Jandar figures?
Either way, I like him, and I'll put a point towards your submission, too (although I may or may not have submitted mine very recently). Glad to help your customs! |

Re: Hospitaller Knight--my twist on a Reaper miniature
Matt Helm,
Thanks for the encouragement. If I get a couple other people that agree that it is worthy of being thrown in with Auggie's other Bounty Customs, then I will. Since you're such an awesome custom creator, you opinion alone is worth a few people. DeathDoom, Thank you for the supporting ideas too. I understand what you are saying about an aura, since the Dumutefs and the Swog Riders boost other figures and they too are only 25 points, but I did not want him to be too powerful, but still versatile. Here is my goals and reasoning: 1. Have a common Knight Hero that has and attack equal to Denrick that can bond with some squads through Human Champion Bonding. 2. Even though he is a hero, keep his cost low so he is like a fifth knight in a squad of Knights of Weston. 3. Make him a specialist Knight that targets a specific race or class that provides more theme, that also supports existing classic Heroscape Themes--as well as a figure that ties the Heroscape storyline closer together, such as Jandars Knights against the Utgars Undead. Here are the adjustments that I am considering, but I feel only one of them should really be incorporated--because both would change his point cost too much. Option A: Change his movement to 5 spaces, which will add to the idea that he is a (or they are) highly trained specialist knight(s). Option B: An Aurua that adds one attack die, or one defense die to knight figures that you control that are adjacent to a Hospitaller Knight. I haven't decided which would be best--the attack die, or defense die. Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
