I mean Hulk doesn’t specify that there’s only one marker, I feel like if Zatana removes it Hulk could just place another one. I think Doom would have his own marker, you’re correct in assuming he doesn’t get any marker when a power specifies “start the game with X color Markers”.

I do agree that whatever the ruling is for what happens with Zatanna removing the marker from the game would essentially be the same as the ruling here. If that Hulk can truly still place a marker, then Doom just spawns his own as well.

I don’t feel that spawning extra hardware from nowhere is particularly intuitive for the end user, though.

Is that Zatana ruling official?
I would have never played it that way.

It is not. There’s no official ruling on that for Zatanna as far as I know.

Would the solution to this be to just change the wording Hulk's card to say "a red Rage Marker" instead of "the"?

Yea I’m on my phone and haven’t gotten to look at Hulk’s exact wording for the Zatana situation but I would say any power that just instructs you to place a marker on Doom’s card if something happens but doesn’t start the game with those markers would give Doom a new marker of his own to track it.

DOOM'S WARD
After revealing an Order Marker on the Army Card of a Unique Doctor Doom you control and taking a turn with Doctor Doom, you may take an immediate turn with Kristoff. You may not take any additional turns with any other figures you control.

If you MPD Reed's powers, on your next OM turn that round, could you use Fantastic Leader 4 to take turns with possibly 3 other Adventurers (including/excluding Kristoff), then Doom, then again with Kristoff?

Karat noticed Doom probably shouldn't be able to auto-destroy opponent's occupied VDO's.
SW's recommended change:

MYSTIC POWER DRAIN 14
After taking a turn with Doctor Doom, you may choose any opponent's figure adjacent to him. Roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 14 or higher and the chosen figure is a Unique Hero or Event Hero, take one additional turn with Doctor Doom. During this turn and for the rest of the round, Doctor Doom may use any special powers on the chosen figure's Army Card, and cannot choose a Unique or Event Hero for this special power. If you roll 14 or higher and the chosen figure is not a Unique Hero or Event Hero, destroy inflict a wound on the chosen figure and remove a wound from this card.
