Re: The Book of Lockheed - Design Phase
That's kind of what I thought.

Re: The Book of Lockheed - Design Phase
My question:
How easy is it for Lockheed to get knocked out of a fight? Because right now, he's going to take one shot from a medium to heavy hitter most of the time and be out of the fight. He'll probably take a few shots from the wimpy guys. Is that thematic? |

Re: The Book of Lockheed - Design Phase
Well he's fairly small (physically-speaking) and not the most powerful guy around. Most of the time he doesn't get directly involved in combat or cherry-picks enemies (from what I've seen at least) in a supportive role with Kitty.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Lockheed - Design Phase
What I'm getting at is that if he's the kind of character that isn't very powerful but usually stays in the fight quite a while, then we can give him a defense boost either by upping his Defense, upping his Life, or giving him a defensive power like Stealth Dodge. However, if it's thematic that he gets picked off when 4 street thugs take shots at him, he should stay as-is.

Re: The Book of Lockheed - Design Phase
I don't think upping his life would be thematic (if anything, I think 4 feels a tad high), and I don't really want to see his cost go up any. I could possibly see his defense going up to show evasiveness (like Quicksilver), but I can't really comment on his staying power in fights other than to ask - do heroes ever really get knocked out of the fight in comics?

Re: The Book of Lockheed - Design Phase
But if he is played with Kitty, then no one can shot Lockheed or Kitty, but it might not heart to bump he's defense up one.

Re: The Book of Lockheed - Design Phase
That's a really good point. I could see a defense of 5 with 3 life here actually. He's hard to hit but it doesn't take much to get him down when you do hit him.

Re: The Book of Lockheed - Design Phase
I like that too. Undersized figures typically have had lives of 1-3, not 4, so that change would be consistent with what we've done previously.

Re: The Book of Lockheed - Design Phase
From Marvel.com
Spoiler Alert!
From Marvel.wikia - Durability: Lockheed is also much more durable than most would assume, having taken direct hits from super-humanly strong beings and being relatively unfazed. --However on the durability chart he is ranked a 2 out of 10. Lava Resistance or extra Defense vs. SAs from Telepaths would be themed or perhaps extra Attack vs Small or Tiny. Defense 5 Life 3 sounds good. Re: The Book of Lockheed - Design Phase
Okay, I have some ideas:
3 Life 5 defense And this for his SA: FIRE SNORT SPECIAL ATTACK Range 3. Attack 3. Choose a figure to attack. You may also choose a figure adjacent to the targeted figure to be affected by this Special Attack. Roll attack dice once for all affected figures. Each figures roll defense dice separately. Lockheed and figures with the Lava Resistant special power cannot be affected by this special attack. I'm not sure on Mental Shield, yet. C3G: Books & Online Figure Request
