Tutorial on How to Paint/Mod this Figure Character Bio - Princess Kitana is 10,000 years old, but is considered young in her realm of Edenia and has the appearance of a young woman. Throughout the years, she rose to great importance; first as the loyal stepdaughter of Shao Kahn, then as his enemy, tearing herself away from his grasp and freeing her home realm of Edenia. She also led an army into Outworld to combat any chance of Shao Kahn rising to power again. She shared a subtle love interest with Mortal Kombat champion Liu Kang, even after he was murdered by the Deadly Alliance. SPECIES = EDENIAN UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = ASSASSIN PERSONALITY = DETERMINED SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 4 LIFE = 5 MOVE = 6 RANGE = 4 ATTACK = 3 DEFENSE = 4 POINTS = 185 PHANTOM WALK Kitana can move through all figures and is never attacked when leaving an engagement. STEEL FAN ASSAULT Kitana may attack any time before, during or after moving as long as she is on a space where she could end her movement. After Kitana attacks an adjacent figure, she may attack one additional time. If Kitana inflicts at least one wound with her normal attack, the defending figure receives one additional wound. FAN LIFT 12 If a figure engages Kitana, you may immediately roll the 20-sided die, adding 3 to the roll if the figure's base is on a level higher than Kitana's base. I’m pretty satisfied with the direction here, but wouldn’t mind swapping Defensive Arts for something that represents her Fan Lift ability.

I worry the Starlord & CA build will drive her points up to a point where she is overpriced in all other builds, which would be a shame since as an assassin she has some nice synergy options. 5 attack with the bonus wound is significantly better than 3 attack with a bonus wound.

Definitey a shame we have to price nearly every figure around 3-4 combos. I’m open to suggestions of course.

Other than the SA route I'm not really sure how else to limit the SL/CA build has on a multiple attack character. Class and Species are pretty much set so you can't cut CA from the build that way. I'd love to figure out another way though if anyone has any suggestions, as the influx of SA's to the game lately just makes all the defensive powers that only work on normal attacks less and less useful. Bug has a double attack and works fine both in and out of a start lord build IMO, so I think the double attack is doable, it is the bonus W that makes her such a good reason to boost her attack from 3 to 5. Maybe make it an unblockable attack die instead of an auto wound? Might need to make her base attack 4 though then.

With Star Lord...she just needs to not be the best Assassin in the game near her point level right?
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

(Also, strictly speaking, when you're building around Star-Lord, you're not usually looking for an Assassin in particular - you're just looking for someone that isn't any of the classes you've already got in your army, so the search is broader than that) Anything done with Kitana that puts more of a focus on her melee combat will decrease her Cap/Star-Lord synergy at least a hair. Personally, I think Kitana is still going to have some solid non-Cap/Star-Lord options in Kingpin (II) and also Hand stuff. Masahiro ain't bad either, and he'll get better with the [that censored thing]. Long-term, if we want to avoid having to balance stuff around Star-Lord and Cap, just about all we can do is develop other synergy figures that compete with them and provide alternative army-building options (that aren't complementary to Star-Lord or Cap, of course). In this case the only solid Star-Lord eligible synergies she has are humans (Masahiro and Kingpin). There's a long list of human figures that allow for multiple turns in S-L builds - Amanda Waller, Bucky, Kingpin, Masahiro, Iron Man Mk5, The Hood, Two Face 2, Yukio, Casey Jones, Robin (Damian/Dick), Mad Thinker. It's common enough that it's not a major concern. The flip side to the above point is that bonding in a Star-Lord build that doesn't eat the human slot (Rover, Robot, Zombie, Harley Quinn, MM2) is rare; these are the ones where you definitely want to test with S-L.
