Thank you for this catch. Much like Clambering and Clamoring, or Laying and Lying before, these are just two words my monkey brain automatically uses interchangeably. I've corrected all further instances of it throughout.

The group bickering about shooting the pilots and airlifting the cure to VACC read almost like people finally bringing up my own concerns to Header. It made me grin when they only ask now if they have the ammo for this, and realize no one can fly the helicopter. But hey, something's going to happen either way, so I suppose questionable decisions for the sake of possible speed are better than 30+ chapters of slow zombie-dodging in the woods.

Thank you, making the reader grin is a big win for me as the author. Attempts at comedy or banter are a dangerous game to play given the overall tone. Also questionable decisions are these guys' specialty

I feel like I still don't quite get the view on Nazar. They found him shredding evidence of the cure... why is Header eager to tell him about it? Wouldn't they be trying to get to the scientists at VACC without him noticing?

Header at least still bluntly defers to Nazar's authority, more likely to believe that the guy just didn't buy that the email was legit than that he's an evil conspirator. The doctors have a similar outlook, hence the "unfortunately"

I feel like this is just a mistake. It was night when they were looking at the camp. Now it's dusk, then night again:

This is a mistake; the camp scene was at night then was changed to dusk but the black darkness setting in soon enough slipped through the changes.

I thought the moon explicitly did not have cycles any longer. Isn't it full all the time?

No, it does continue to cycle. However it is often full when it isn't supposed to be—always during a supernatural occurrence. This is what causes the characters to associate or blame the lunacy on the moon somehow.

Not sure what to make of Reed at this point. I didn't get any sense from him in TMHW as being into Stacey or so completely oblivious and/or uncaring about where she's at. Either this is all set up for some group antagonism (probably ending in burning cars and dead bodies), or Reed is genuinely acting weird. Maybe he's being possessed, and that's where this is coming from?

Reed is spontaneous and can be difficult to read as a result. He explains his mood through the changing seasons, but who knows what he's up to or if he's just being dumb

I will likely post another chapter tonight, but I may slow the progress from there to permit more time to be fully caught up

Chapter 4:

While there's nothing technically wrong with exclamation points outside of dialogue, you haven't done it until now, so I wanted to mention it in case it was a typo.

In that breath of stilled time she saw that those violet irises dart back to her.

Unneeded 'that' I would guess... either that or you need 'had darted'.

It’d been hit awful hard when she had been knocked down.

'Awful' is an adjective, while 'awfully' is the adverb you want here. People use 'awful' as an adverb, but it's informal.

“I did cut myself on one of the vials during the fight with Elias.”

Gotta say that I called this one at the end of TMHW... that being said, with the cure still somehow in 'play' - being absorbed by the Terminator and not just gone - I do wonder if Brooke is simply mistaken, and they get the cure another way. Or perhaps they never get the cure at all and this is just all an elaborate ruse by the author...

Interesting developments. I'm looking forward to hearing more from Nazar, as I'm sure there's an explanation coming for his side of things; even if it's a 100% fabrication it will provide some clues as to where he stands.

I honestly expected something supernatural to happen at night, and I'm kind of surprised it didn't. That being said, the fact that we didn't get back with the group until after they left, and that Louis heard them check in during that time, makes me think that maybe they didn't check in at all, and something or someone else did... but that's probably just me being overly suspicious.

And now we have the Terminator. I think it's safe to say this thing isn't a zombie, though I would expect it to come from either Apostle or Nazar. Although its collection of the cure raises some questions. Apostle has been shredding things with bullets, clearly not caring if the cure gets destroyed. This new approach seems like it has a different goal - collecting the cure somehow - and that makes me wonder if Apostle hasn't sent the Terminator. Is there perhaps a new entity in play?
