Heroscape is not going to meet it's doom!

I emailed Hasbro and heroscape is not about to meet it's doom!! this is the response I got:

Thank you for writing. Heroscape is not ending. Hasbro directed you to us because we handle product replacement issues as well as rules questions.

Take Care!

1-If they were ending do you really think they would tell you?

2-It just says that it is not ending. It does not say that it not going to go to blind purchase and will cost 10x as much or will now become a CCG.

3-Did this need it's own thread?

It is like Heroclix, Dreamblade, Mage Knight stuff (if you don't know what that is think of it like buying a pack of baseball cards.)

All you know is how many items are in the package but not exactly what is inside.

"Blind Purchase" means that you can't see the randomized figures you're buying. A game like D&D Miniatures or Star Wars Miniatures is a "Blind Purchase" game, as opposed to Heroscape, where you see exactly what you're buying. Magic: The Gathering is probably the best example of a Blind Purchase game.

Hope that helps!

I don't play any of those games, but I understand the concept.

Interesting how two people can say exactly the same thing in a completely different way!

Here's a better way to say it:

It's a way for a company to get as much cash as you for figures, without resorting to the Games Workshop 'sell it for cheap and we cut you off' model of business.
