So he's a more powerful Spidey with weaker Spidey Sense? Kinda lame, but makes perfect sense.

...and he's cheaper???

2 more attack, with a good ability to get height advantage and he is 10 less? Weird.

Glad to see my refresh worked. Here's Spidey and Venom side by side:

Hmmm... is 10 points really worth 2 less attack and a 15% better chance of dodging any damage coming your way? Curious...

In Heroscape there is usually a high premium for d20 based abilities. Whether or not I think it's warranted, this does seem to follow that trend. With the high defenses of most of the heroes so far though, Venom does look a bit more useful so far.

i hope that this abilitys from super heros not come to heroscape.
heroscape used the w20 not often, and not to ignor attacs.

so i wonder if someday the flagbear dice to to marvelscape.

in that way marvel scae set mor in brutal 1 vs fight monster vs monster, and one will die.

Fascinating. They've managed to make Venom more of a brute melee type and Spidey more of a tricky ranged guy with some very minor modifications. Think about it - 50/50 for Pete and a ranged special nearly as good as his standard attack - he's gonna bounce around the battlefield tossing webs (and quips, one hopes). Meanwhile, with only a 35% shot at bouncing and a far more powerful standard attack Venom will be doing brute work.

Seems a pretty lazy cut and paste to me. I like the lessened spider sense, though I'm not sure Venom even has a "Spidey sense" in the comics. I know that Spiderman's "spidey Sense" doesn't work on Venom. They could have renamed the web attack special, something like Symbiote attack. Should have given Venom another life and Height. He's a huge muscle builder in the comics who has Spiderman's powers, while Spidey is your average/below average framed Peter Parker who got super spider powers.

I think the point differential between Spidey and Venom makes no sense.

Don't worry markwars, GB or truth will be here in a minute to defend Hasbro's judgement.

Also note on the cards for Web attack, Spidy's says "Spider-Man's web attack" and Venom's lacks any use of his name at all in it.
