Are Re-Paints allowed in Tournaments?

There is this tournement i'm PROBABLY not going to be able to go to on october 20th.

I was thinking about it and even though I don't have any repaints, are they allowed?

P.S. I also have 2 squads of heavy gruts. But the heavy with the helmet has a bent halbeard.

ASmiles Woo who?
As always, check with the people running the specific tournament. But in general the shape of the figure determines line of sight and has an effect on game play. The color of the figure has no effect and shouldn't matter. Where as customs, with physical modifications do effect the intended game play.

So in general repaint = ok, customs = not ok.

As far as I've seen Re-Paints have been fine.

Though IMO, mods should be allowed as well.

I'm a little iffy on mods, simply because someone will take advantage of the opportunity and make an issue of it. It just takes one jerk to bend his zombie's in half and put their heads into a nearly impossible position to hit, making them immune to all types of ranged attacks.

I know that there will always be those jerks. I really wish we had a standard code or rule-set for modifications allowed in tournaments. That would be awesome,

Allowing repaints and modified figures is entirely up to the organizers of each event. More than likely, repaints are not a problem but modified figures could be since a key component of the game is targetting a figure's hit zone and modifying a figure usually changes the hit zone (as per the example given by Eclipse). Check with the organizers of the event you will be attending to be absolutely sure. I wouldn't worry too much about a bent weapon as long as the figure is unmodified.

Bent weapons wouldn't be a problem since they aren't usually part of the hit zone. That is unless it bent is some way that would allow the figure to hide behind it!

In our tournaments, we allow repaints but NEVER customs or mods. I think that should be the case with most folks, but as there is no such thing as an "official" Heroscape tourney you will need to chek with each person you play with.

Or a group of pre-killed zombies, depending on how you look at it.
