I agree that for 50 points they are a good pick, but I wouldn't call them overpowered. If they were common then yes, they would be awesome.
These guys come out good in team and FFA games, where you sometimes get the time to clone. In solo it's much harder to clone, if you clone and choose not to attack. It could be fatal for your army. Not to forget that the cloning might fail. And yes 6 move and range, that's positive. But then again only 2 attack and 3 defence. That ain't much. Marros + Thanos ...and my own question.
My opponent absolutely loves them and picks them early in most drafts. We only have one set so its rare that I get them since we can't both have them given the situation. Personally I prefer the more expensive Krav Maga but the Marro Warriors are one of the game's best buys.
Someone asked about using them with Thanos, I did this the other night (I actually got them) I had them Marros, Thanos, Drake and Dead Eye. He had the Hulk, Venom, the Tarns and Elgrim. I'd report that the tactic worked well but as it happened we never got to find out. He was really testing his ground with Hulk (1st use) and was too aggressive against Drake so that he tied all his markers on Hulk and Thanos and Dead Eye basically took over the game. Thanos + height + attack glyph..mean ranged attack. Once Hulk fell and I took the building heights..never got the marros into the game. But his use has brought us a question, we have been allowing Marro Warriors to clone while engaged, is this correct? ArcBlade |

I don't believe there's anything against it on the card.

We had a question come up during today's tourney regarding water clone.
Can you water clone into an engagement? Meaning can the newly cloned Marro be placed next to an opponents figure? |

It seems perfectly legal to clone into an engagement. The only conditions for the new Marro is that it must be adjacent (to the Marro that is cloning) and on the same level.

Hmmm.... just went and re-read the card, and I'd have to agree with Heroic Monkey and Nadom it doesn't say you can't.
How did you guys resolve it? -insert signature here- |

I always thought that the Marro were way underpriced, simply because, as a wise man once said:
"Kill all you want, we'll make more" Also I would like to address that the Zombies have a similar ability (Zombies Rise Again), but still cost 10 points more. I find that weird. |
