Character Bio - In the Rebirth reboot, Hawkgirl (Kendra Saunders) is introduced as the leader of the Blackhawks, an anti-apocalyptic team. Seeking to prevent the Dark Knights's invasion on Earth, Hawkgirl worked with the Justice League to help them defeat the Dark Knights.

After helping in the defeat of Barbatos, Hawkgirl was recruited to the new Justice League. It's later revealed that because of Barbatos's influence, Kendra's bond to the Nth Metal was merged into her being. She now boasts an altered physiology reminiscent to her past life as a Thanagarian, which resulted in the grafting of Nth Metal wings to Hawkgirl's back. - Comic Vine
