Glad you like the looks of it, Ninja Status. Yeah, it goes up really quickly, and can be taken apart just as easily.

If you have some extra zero-level tiles lying around, you can double-stack them and use them for the bottom receiving tray, instead of wall-walk tiles. Like mac122 has done here with swamp water tiles. Normal water tiles do just as well. So do shadow tiles, or molten lava (you can see a tower using them in the OP), though those are usually in short supply.

Awesome, thanks for the confirmation. Makes it even more attractive to swap them out for the wall-walk tiles.


I've also heard of people building these towers directly into maps as terrain features, or attaching them to the sides of a map. If anybody has, and has pics, I'd love to see them.

I tried the others, but each brought certain issues to the table, so to speak. Constantly using the flashlight to read the symbols on the shadow tiles got old real quick. I found I was losing approximately 95% of my 20-sided dice on the lava tiles. The dice would stop on the first water tile they hit, causing quite a backup into the tower on big attacks. However, when I tried the swampwater tiles, they came through without a hitch. The smell isn't so great, but you get used to it.

I can check. I know I broke one of my bars so I may not have an extra one of those but I should have an extra door.

Got a chance to set the door aside for you. I also still have the wooden bar I broke, it is still useable as a bar since just the round handle part is all that broke off. I'll send that to you as well. Just send me a PM with your address.

An extremely appropriate necro! You should be very proud. I've built it, but can't bring myself to dedicate a FotA to it permanently, though it's a goal for sure.
