Re: IAmBatman's Design Workshop
Donna Troy is a perpetual head-scratcher for me. I don't see her pop up often, but when I do, she has a completely different origin and status quo from the last time I saw her.

Re: IAmBatman's Design Workshop
Best I could find is the red suit is Troia and she’s probably the desendant of a Titan from myth in that incarnation (Demi-God?) and the black suit has her alternate between Troia, Donna Troy, and Wonder Woman, with JLA and Titans stints.
Blurb on changing power sets: As with her changing versions her power have changed, but she has generally been shown to exhibit the same powers as Wonder Woman, except in a limited capacity (it is generally accepted that Donna Troy's physical prowess was roughly 1/10th that of Diana's) . These include super strength, super stamina, super speed, enhanced reflexes and agility, increased durability (though like Diana she can still be injured by piercing weapons), flight, superhuman sense, enhanced healing factor. She has shown some abilities that Diana has not such as generation of photonic energy and truth sense. She is also an advanced hand-to-hand combatant due to her Amazon training. The silver age version of the character also had some specific abilities such as voice imitation (she could imitate the voice of any person she heard.) it was assumed that when she was a duplicate of Wonder Woman that she shared the same powers as Diana had been given by the gods, but many of these were never actually shown. She has also been shown to have a psychic rapport with Diana and the two can sometimes share dreams and memories. In the New 52, Donna Troy's physical abilities have undergone a power increase, as she is able to engage Wonder Woman in melee combat as nearly her equal. We can assume that her superhuman strength, speed, reflex and durability are now on par with Diana, making her a Top-Tier powerhouse. Donna has also shown something reminiscent to a boosted healing factor, as after her arm was severed by Diana, she put her arm on it's place and it regrew back. Whether this is a healing factor or possibly an ability due to the fact that she was partially sculpted from earth remains unknown. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

More:
She has employed many different forms of equipment of her long publication history. In the Silver Age she employed a lasso that was very strong, but did not have the exact properties of the Lasso of Truth. Later she is given the Lasso of Persuasion, which she can use to command those caught within it as long as Donna’s willpower is stronger (though she is said to have a will of Iron, for instance forcing Etrigan to revert to Jason Blood.) She uses the Amazon bracelets much as Wonder Woman does. She also had some Harbinger or Universe Orb for a while that she was tasked with protecting. It housed the history of the multiverse. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: IAmBatman's Design Workshop
If I were to boil her down to her essence:
Wonder Girl: sister/clone of Wonder Woman (Diana) joins the sidekicks to form Teen Titans (Garth, Dick, Wally, and Roy) uses the Crisis teen girl mini. New Teen Titans Wonder Girl: (this is the famous George Perez run) covers when Dick changed from Robin to Nightwing and Starfire, Beast Boy, Robin, and Cyborg joining the team, uses the Crisis Red Suit with lasso mini. Donna Troy Darkstar (no mini for this) not sure really what Dc was doing here, but it seems now like a failed attempt to make a DC version of the Nova Corps (which itself is a ripoff of the Green Lantern Corps, so ), powers included space flight, armor, and powered blasts, no mini for this. Troia: This was, I believe, an attempt to marry her new non-derivative powers with her old persona in the Titans, would use the Troia mini, she is retconned as being from the Greek Titans instaed of the Greek Gods like WW. Lastly, Wonder Woman: when Diana goes missing, Donna assumes her role as Wonder Woman, emissary to man's world of the Amazons. Seemed to display all the powers of Diana, though motive was silver instead of gold. That is a very boiled down version and as people have stated she did some back and forth between them. Her story is as convoluted as anyone's, right up there with Power Girl. It would be cool to have a Darkstar mini (heck it would be cool to have several) but you gotta work with that you got. I think her various incarnations are different enough to warrant all of them. Heck, Cassie, Wonder Girl II, is almost as convoluted. (At one point human with gifts from Zeus, then daughter of Zeus, then daughter of Ares, then back to Zeus, not sure where she is at now.) Re: IAmBatman's Design Workshop
Thanks for the breakdown! So red suit should be an Amazon with Titan for class and Wonder Girl for name. Anything that distinguishes her power set from our current sidekick Wonder Girl?

EDIT: Just went and refreshed my memory of that card. I'd go with a Persuasive take control Lasso type ability, leave Warrior Engagement, and then add some type of Titan Leader, maybe a Field Leader power. Usually, when she has "died" or fallen in combat in the past, the others go berserk. Semi-Retired C3G Hero (and first Official Member of the C3G Target Audience!) Re: IAmBatman's Design Workshop
Hmm, OK. I think the red suit one is going to be the toughest when it comes to power set. A leadership power on the Titans is tough as well with Nightwing and Starfire and Arsenal and Speedy and Aqualad's already having so many synergies and faction boosts.
I could see some sort of Combat Challenge power like Hercules' Test of Might (kind of showing her energy and leading by example?). She should definitely have a lasso power. Reuse of the lasso power on Wonder Girl or did she have her Lasso of Persuasion at all yet? I've only been able to find pictures of the Lasso of Persuasion on the Troia starry uniform, so I'm guessing it's the standard lasso. Here's an Amazon factional power I've been saving as well: AMAZON TRAINING When Wonder Girl rolls defense dice against a normal attack from a figure that is not an Amazon, two shields will block all damage. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: IAmBatman's Design Workshop
Funnily enough, the red suit is the one that should work best with Nightwing, Starfire, Arsenal, Speedy, Cyborg, Raven, Beast Boy, and Tempest. The other should work best with Robin, Aqualad, Speedy, and Kid Flash.

Re: IAmBatman's Design Workshop
Hmm, so from a factional standpoint (
@japes
this is one for you too) what, if anything are the current Titans missing?

Re: IAmBatman's Design Workshop
Yeah, here's what I think is solidly known for sure. There's:
Red Suit Wonder Girl (II) Amazon Titan reuse of Lasso power from Wonder Girl (I) Black Suit with Stars Troia/Wonder Woman/Donna Troy (I'll probably opt for Troia) Amazon Titan/Champion Lasso of Persuasion The other powers are the thing to work out. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: IAmBatman's Design Workshop
Just a thought, but if you wanted to build in some kinda of soft synergy with Batman (Dick), you could give adult Donna some kind of power that had a downside where you had to move OMs from her card to one of your other cards (or otherwise messed with your OMs).
Is that even vaguely thematically doable? No idea. But I like using Batman (Dick) to get around negative powers like that. |
