I just base my customs (that don't already have bases) on thick cardstock, 'cause I'm cheap. If a figure climbs a ladder, I stick a poker chip in there and it works great. I keep all my 'clix based though, in case I'd ever sell or trade, or, heavens forbid, play 'clix.

Its actually not that bad a game once you get the hang of it. I have been playing lately to try and win some of the Infinity Gauntlet figures and I managed to win first at my comic store and get a Champion figure. It is REALLY tough to get the hang of, and I have to constantly check the power card, but Cosmic Hulk with the Infinity Gauntlet was unbeaten (and unwounded!)
