AZ Game Day - 3/08/08 - March Madness
Well, we've been having a bunch of fun at all the events and figure it's our turn (and Kid Dizaster is anxious to host one at his house). We'll start the festivities at 11:00 a.m.
We're new to this so I'll have to work on my Map Building skills. (Lonewolf please email me the map you put together for New Year's Day, it was great!). Also, we don't have 1 huge room like Hex, so it'll be a little more spread out with the maps. Any advice will be more than welcome. Finally, I'll edit this post to add those who confirm they can attend. Hope to see everyone there! Attending: -Hiredgun -Mrs. Hiredgun -Kid Dizaster -DangerMouse -aKoolKukumber -Hex[alot of numbers] -Mrs. Hex[alot of numbers] -Firefrost8k -Rehlers -Dave (Maybe) -Lonewolf -Madster (Poof!) -Vanguard -Mr. HSLunatic -Mrs. HSLunatic -Robbdaman (maybe) |

Great name for the event! As long as I can get over my current affliction(s), I'll be there and for now the wife says she's in too.
Here's the only advice I have that might be worth sharing: The first time I hosted, I figured the dimensions of my tables and made sure to pick maps that wouldn't cripple my available table space. "Marr Highway" is an exaggerated example (long skinny map). For the space "Marr Highway" takes, I could easily get "Soul Razor Canyon" and "Ember Canyon" on my folding table instead. Not trying to push those maps over "Marr Highway", but when the numbers started topping 20, being able to serve 4 people from one table over 2 got real important. Yes, I 'm definitely going for the four player maps. With those two you mentioned and the one Lonewolf put together for New Year's day, that'd give me three.
Group games are a bunch of fun. I'll probably try to set up four 4 player maps (so I'll need 1 more recommendation), at least one 1 v 1 (for Lonewolf's Grudge matches with Taelord). If there are enough people, I'll add a three player map (Rob had a great one at the HS party at his house). |

Hex can you recommend some 4 player maps? Or anyone else?
Rehlers, thanks for the link to the 3 player map. Lonewolf, when you upload yours, can you email me the link? I'll send you my personal email via pm. Also, Lonewolf, will you be making an appearance? We'd love to see you. But leave Taelord at home. Hiredgun |
