Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Doctor Fate
Yeah, Doctor Fate suffers from being an early design when stuff like free movement and d20 modifying would cost a premium due to not really being available anywhere else. Teleportation Spell is really handy but Fate is a fair bit too expensive for his one trick.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Doctor Fate
Used to use him a lot in big map team multi person games. Teleporting is nice depending on map size. Helm of Nabu is usually not worth it. 2/C-

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Doctor Fate
Kind of makes me want to make a spell that lets you add extra to the D20 boost when you use Helm of Nabu.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hawkman
Solid beatstick for his cost. Works well with Hawkgirls and Hawkmen of Thanagar. More often than not, Undying Love feels easy to plan around as the opponent, but sometimes you can get it to work well.
3/B+ C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hawkman
Solid for his points and decent with Hawkgirl. Plays well with Thor II as a cheaper Warrior. 3/B+

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hawkman
IDK, I've had a ton of success with Undying Love. I always led out with Hawkgirl and the Hawkmen while leaving him in the Start Zone. She's a handful on her own right and your opponent will have to deal with her, then once she's wounded you can start bringing him up into the action.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hawkman
I'd say how well that strategy works is also fairly map and match-up-dependent.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hawkman
I've also had decent luck just sending Hawkgirl at a priority target, and bringing Hawkman in after she's beat up. Throw in some Hawkmen of Thanagar and you've got a simple but solid army.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hawkman
Same. Hawkman + Hawkgirl + Hawkmen squad is a very solid army.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hawkman
I wonder how that army runs with the other Hawkgirl (or both!).
